Aurora is really underrated because she had to be saved but I don't see it as a bad thing. Sometimes being helped is okay. What else could she have done when she was not even aware of the full picture?
Somebody FINALLY said it. Like we get that Maleficent and the fairies drive the plot but Aurora is still somebody from this film who is worthy of respect. She, like Snow White, were under spells that they had no way of knowing about
Even if she is supposed to have a different accent I kinda like the southern tone of her voice. It adds a bit more to her personality and Mary really made Aurora her own.
Aurora is really sassy looking and idk why ppl always hate her for being so short in film i mean it was really short i wish they made a 20 mins extra for her i mean the time in movie she had was really good her voice is amazing too 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I actually think aurora is a very beautiful and interesting looking character and I hope one day Disney gives her a spin-off series like rupunzel and Tina are getting or already have 💖💖
I think thats what disney should have done with all the princess characters instead of making live action remakes . Also for ones like the little mermaid, Hercules and beauty and the beast that already have a series they should get another one of their adventures after they get their happily ever after. I'm still waiting for tianas series , since i really enjoyed the rapunzel series. Plus more awesome musical songs i can't wait to hear
Honestly I think this argument about Aurora saving herself is really a stretch... And also that it is really unnecesarry to make all the princesess saving themselves. Like sometimes there is a situation in life you need help because everybody would need help in such a situation... For example if you fall into a coma. And it doesn't mean you are weak or a bad example to children.

Aurora is my favorite princess. As a kid, there was something so comforting about that movie and her. Her and Merida are my favorite(cant pick between them). Shes so underrated!!!
My argument mostly on Aurora is the fact that shes really not that boring as most people say. I mean lets look at the facts. She's not actually the main character. But personality wise shes shy, sassy, stubborn, kind, and wants to adventure. I think most people think that wanting to date is bad. She did want to date and that doesn't make her a bad. Another claim that people make is that when she cried she cried over a man she just met. And honestly WHO WOULDN'T? Imagine you've never talked to anyone for 16 years you finally meet someone and someone who you possibly have a chance of dating and you have that ripped from you. And instead of doing something in your own time actually getting to know the guy. You're Married and also with the new identity that You're a Princess and Briar Rose isnt your actual name so this whole thing is a lie. Aurora knew nothing of maleficent nothing of anyone nothing of her curse and nothing about her Being a princess. It just so happened to be the person who she danced with is the person who saves her. And thats fine. Thats fine to be saved
Even if she hadn’t sung Aurora still would of met Philip. They’re fathers were in the middle of arranging Aurora and Philip to be married when the movie took place.

This is a terrible take on my favorite disney movie. Aurora was absolutely saved by prince Philip. Did you not see where he used the sword of truth and shield of virtue to defeat evil in the form of Maleficent? And what's wrong with a woman being saved by the man she loves?? Is your idea of a "real" man one who would just leave her to fend for herself? No woman wants that despite what she might say. If I was in trouble, I would absolutely want my husband to save me, and I know he would. Because he's a real man. I would be pissed if he didn't do anything to help me if I was in trouble. Also this would be such a dumb story if Phillip didn't come to her rescue.

When I went to Disneyland Paris Aurora was the nicest to me of all the Disney characters. She did need saving in the movie but everyone needs saving once in a while. OK I don’t necessarily think that she saved herself because in her particular situation she would’ve fallen victim to that cursed no matter what she did she couldn’t get around it and that’s not her fault either she just couldn’t get around it however, her singing in the forest did get the ball rolling as far as her and Philip meeting, and that definitely did help things along and as far as The Voice goes I don’t think she drop tracks in at all, but I like it.

As an aside, the scene where Aurora is singing in the woods is always the one that's stuck with me more than any other in the film. Mary Costa did an amazing job with the role, and it's too bad she doesn't do comic cons (she's probably too old at this point) because she'd probably attract a huge audience at them.
