Kintaro has been in his mother's arms for seven months since he was born, but he finally started exercising around August 2019.
At first, Kintaro grabbed the pillars and grids and stood.
However, he has grown considerably in physical ability in a month.
⚠️ ⭐️ Due to the spread of coronavirus(COVID-19) infection, Kyoto City Zoo will be closed again from August 23rd to September 12th today.
The closed period may be extended depending on the situation.
Therefore, I will post old videos until the zoo reopens.

⭐️モモタロウ Momotaro ♂(2000/7/3)
momotaro was born at Ueno zoo in Tokyo on jul.3,2000 and came to our zoo on Oct.18,2010.
He is beautiful and handsome ,the silverback of our troop.
He is a little timid,and scared of new things.
He sometimes shows lovely behaviors that melt our hearts.
He is making efforts to be a good dad for his two sons.
⭐️ゲンキ Genki ♀(1986/6/24)
Genki was born at our zoo on Jun,24,1986.
After mating with several males without a pregnancy she found her perfect partner Momotaro.
Now she is a loving and caring mom for her two sons.
She sometimes behaves boldly,yet she can also be sensitive.
Genki has a cute face with shining eyes.
⭐️ゲンタロウ Gentaro ♂(2011/12/21))
Gentaro was born at our zoo on Dec.21,2011,as Momotaro and Genki's first son.
Unfortunately Genki didn't have enough milk,so he was nursed by keepers for his first 10.5 months.
Now he loves his mom,and his face really looks like her.
He also loves people .
Everyone immediately agrees that he is a very adorable boy.
⭐️キンタロウ Kintaro ♂(2018/12/19)
Kintaro was born at our zoo on Dec.19,2018.
He has big bright eyes and long eyebrows.
He is growing fine ,being loved by his parents and brother.
He love to play by himself,with his father.
He is still small, but smart and strong-willed.
His cute appearance and behavior attract everyone's interest.

Genki is such a great mom. Always there to catch or pull Kintaro before he could fall or get out of her reach. She knows Gentaro too, trying so desperately to play with his baby sibling. She knows the strength of Dad and brother. She is ready to pick her baby up out of harms way when they are within reach.
This family is so beautiful and loving. They could teach humans a thing or too.

When kintaro turned 9 months,genki decided it was time to let him down and start to learn to walk,climb.Oh how cute he is back then,and still is.
I love watching these amazing creatures! When the zoo employee was watching from the bars of the enclosure, mama turned her baby away. She wasn’t comfortable having a human just staring at her baby like that. Very protective.🌹

It's great to watch an old film of kintaro as just a little 🐤 beginning his adventure in trial and errors in walking,and climbing,with genki right there to watch every minute in case 😀 she needs to protect kintaro from any harm,including his brother annoying ways.Momoto sitting near by watching kintaro struggle,and scratching his head,like this is an new experience to him.
🥰 🥰 It's actually very nice to ""reminisce". Baby Kintaro sure was cute as a baby. Everybody loves him even today. Papa Momotaro stands guard as head of the family, Mama Genki is ever on the ready to hold Baby Kintaro if it looks like he is about to climb too high. Brother Gentaro appears a bit jealous, trying to capture Mama Genki's attention. A very loving family.

Genki is a very good mother.
A year after the date this was shot he was already a pro. Two years now and he's in the big leagues with his family.

Maman Genki ne quitte jamais des yeux son petit Kintaro. Elle le laisse évoluer, mais pas trop longtemps pour qu'il ne se fatigue pas. Kintaro est plus à l'aise dans l'escalade que dans la marche sur le sol, il a du mal à coordonnées ses 4 membres. Genki le récupère tout de suite quand un gorille approche, surtout quand c'est Gentaro qui était jaloux à cette époque. Et pourtant Gentaro s'occupe très bien de son petit frère maintenant. Quand je compare Genki avec une maman humaine, je me rends compte que d'avoir un bébé est une source de stress et de tension continuelle. Etre toujours à l'affut du moindre besoin du bébé, ce n'est pas du tout repos. Bien pire pour une maman gorille qui n'a pas la solution d'un lit ou parc adapté. Par exemple, son petit se réveille en pleine nuit, elle doit être de nouveau aux aguets. Je pense que le fait d'être maman pour une gorille l'a rend plus forte psychiquement comparé aux mâles. Elle sait ce qu'est de protéger sa famille, d'être "souple" envers les uns, les autres, ne pas chercher l'affrontement. Maman Genki est une gorille très importante dans la famille, pour moi elle restera la Chef.

Это ж надо, какой шустряк, ходит шатаясь на своих лапках, а тут высоко взобрался на решетку, да так быстро, что маманя еле уследила, да вовремя сняла, она поощряет его самостоятельность, боится как бы старший пацан не дернул малыша, очень забавно наблюдать.

He’s doing great! The zoo posted a great video of him recently playing with Gentaro and you could hear Kinny laughing. I had never heard that before. Only screaming when he was upset. Then another video showed I’m enjoying his ice treat and slurping and crunching the ice. All of them are doing great!

3:47 Lol Kintaro is out of her immediate reach and she is just fine. But 15 seconds later when Gentaro only just walks up to her nonchalantly she immediately freaks out and grabs Kintaro. This must have confused Gentaro for a while. He didn't understand why Genki's personality changed so much just because of his little brother. He must have thought that she was scared of him, not that she was scared of what he could do to Kintaro. I think he figured that out eventually, but at first it must have made no sense to him.

Gentaro knew why ... Jan 2 2019, was the 1st video of Ginki & baby Kintaro. They were not bothering anyone or anything, Gentaro started his attacks. Over the next year, Gentaro was very sly with grabbing the baby. He was not with his Mom. I love Gentaro to but differently. Watch more of the 2019 videos, you will understand.

They are doing fine. The zoo posts videos on their TH-cam channel and Instagram. Everyone looks healthy and happy! Momo is eating and the boys are eating and playing🙂
If i can i am saving to visit. Kyotos zoo and due to very little income kinataro will probably. Be a grandfather by the time. I get there , and in case i dont get to you all please know i never thought. I could. Love gorillas and to the. Zoo staff and visitors volunteers and im sure im missing people who have contributed to the daily videos as well as the education in behaviors to the schooling with this family help me smile more ive even get my blood pressure down and no longer. Require medications for my heart. I notice the individual who is concerned about launage translation Your so sweet and i speak from my heart when i say /our doing amazingly good. Some things we don't need words for and the Taoism of your gift of videos will live on here in my home my heart for my rest of days . i am gaining overall wellness from this family and i adore the zoo. Keepers . the zoo veteranary whom is scolded anytime he comes must have courage of many warriors im sure its got to make the hair on your neck stand for days when father charges you.
