    For info, for non F type lovers. 4 exhaust is the v8, 2 centrals exhausts is the v6, 1 central exhaust is the 4 cyl. And for the brakes option it is: "metal", "black", "red", "yellow". Metal is stock, black is sport, red is supersport and yellow is ceramique.

    Lol I was about to say you missed the calipers but then you found them. It also says Jaguar on your teeth when you hear the exhaust notes. Yesterday I told my dad "life's too short to drive boring cars" and he asked where's that's from. I said some guy in Canada haha. He said "life's too short to be able to afford fast cars" lol. Yeah I prefer yours.

      Haha, for sure, yes it’s a passion for sure and there is no point in resisting my enjoyment in cars. It’s really the excitement I get from my day to day life, and living it is how I prefer to roll. Pardon the pun, lol

      @@markholubetz I had a conversation with my friend today and he said "are you serious about getting the Jag?" even though I told him i was before. I said "hell yes I am, it's something that excites me and it keeps me motivated". I think he's just taken back by the price tag given that most cars within our circles are under 10k. I don't have his responsibilities but I'm waiting until my investments pay off before diving in assuming I find one I want, but yes I am serious. I even quoted Mark and told him "it's an investment in my sanity"

    I heard the F type shot a man in Reno just to watch him die.
    It also goes about telling people there are three genders, Male, female and F-type drivers who are beyond such mere pedestrian concepts like gender.
    Owning an F-type makes you a gigachad alphamale who is attractive to all women... and men.
    True story.
    Hopefully I will win that 70 mil from the lottomax before they stop making them.

    Thanks Mark, you missed the two Jaguar names on the two rising air vents too, so 36 ;) Just love how your enthusiasm for this car oozes out of the screen, Jaguar should be paying you, this is better than any sales pitches I've ever seen! From someone that has driven mainly manual cars, the ZF gearbox is a delight, I wasn't worried at all, it's semi-auto or fully auto, depending on the mode you are in. For the power also, going to that drive system, I'd be worried about burning out clutches on that V8 lump, as for dual clutch gearbox, I think Jaguar got this right, why spend more money on something that's potentially going make you go 0.1 sec faster. Put your foot down in your R it's still enough to frighten the beejeezus out of your friends as it is.

      Haha, for sure, I new I missed something, lol. Also agree on the gearbox chat as it works so great that there is no need to do anything different. I had a Mercedes ML500 years ago with the shiftable auto and it was a slug. It was so slow and sluggish that there was really no point in shifting manually and just left it in auto, so that setup kind of had me turned off Autos, but I drove this and recent BMWs and realized how good the new Autos can be. These simply work so great.
      Hope you are having an awesome week and chat soon.
      Cheers

    I get a kick at guys who turn their nose at “automatics”. The F type ZF is a wonderful transmission. Heck we just picked up our new 2024 Peterbilt 389 with an Eaton Endurant XD Pro 18 speed auto. And it is absolutely fantastic!! Cheers Mark.

      Absolutely Randal, these modern autos are so good it’s hard not to line them. They are smooth when you want them, aggressive when needed, and generally easy to live with including good reliability. The ZF is better than most double clutch systems

    In terms of badging. Also missed the prominent (and deliberate) "Jaguar" logo on the infotainment screen upon startup and the Jaguar branding on the glove box release button. Also the Jaguar branding on the accelerator pedal (if you have the metal pedal option). How does the branding locations compare with the Ferrari Roma ?

    • @markholubetz
      @markholubetz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha, yes great catches and I missed those. Btw I do have the metal pedals so it’s likely on there. The Roma is beautiful but looks like it copied the F Type design theme. Not sure on the branding there but I suspect it’s significant. Have you had a close look at the Roma?

    • @Santoshlv426
      @Santoshlv426 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@markholubetz I haven't seen the Roma up close and personal. I'm actually not sure if there's one near me - gotta check & fully agree the stance of the Roma and it's lines mirror the F type. With the recent videos on the F Type, you've been making there's a criticism I have of Jaguar in that this car was never given a proper bespoke manual transmission. This is the biggest lost opportunity by Jaguar and could have taken the F Type in a different direction entirely.
