What a great quote… A smart man learns from his mistakes. A genius learns from others. Bless you guys for making these podcast and a great archive of knowledge y’all are building.
One of my favorite moments with TSgt Tomes was when he had us all sing “ three little birds” in between 25 meter underwaters, that helped us and taught us ways to be relaxed in the water. God bless him.
Thanks guys, I watch all these and take a lot of notes. I been through assessment and didnt get selected for needing to improve on my leadership. I am going back within the next few months and I believe these vids are giving me the tools to get me selected this time.
I'm 35. Active duty Navy. Prior Corpsman, broke leg in two places trying to go Recon/SARC bout 6 years ago. Thought I was done. I finish my bachelors in 2 years from TA alone. May just be the remaining testosterone in my system calling for a purpose, but Combat Rescue Officer... I can just show up to selection at 38 years old and hang with 18/19 year olds? Guess you can choose to spend a mid-life crisis well, or buy a sports car like everybody else. I'd rather be the sports car
I'm getting rdy as well but I'm in a spot where I can't decide which job to shoot for tacp or cct whats you're input just out of curiosity what made you choose cct
Thanks for continually going over the eyesight requirements. I'm a year out till I finish college and my eyes are really awful and not eligible for lasik so I try to know the standard just to be prepared or to see if there are any new pieces of information that could help or hurt me.
Would you guys have any issue interviewing someone who was into the AFSPECWAR community but who now has transitioned within a govt agency as a federal Leo in a tactical team like BORSTAR, USSS SOG, USMS SOG, and etc? Or interview someone who is currently in the reserve/ANG side of the house like the PJ unit in Long Island ny or the one in Los Angeles ?
Thank you for all you guys do. If there is ever a good opportunity could u explain the requirements for a waiver if you have ADHD? I know that you need to be off meds for 2 years. But for somebody who is no longer in school, how should I show I can function off adderall? Recommendation letter from work? Anything like that?

Much appreciated

Do you guys have an advice or experience to share for females going into spec war training?
Don't
Be able to do the same things the guys do. Gender doesn’t matter and you are not special or get it easier because you are female.
Can you wear glasses being a PJ ? I know y’all talked about vision being 20/20 corrected but is that only for Lasik I surgery ?
Wait, who is the PJ with the katana I hear about
Have you guys ever gotten someone who had a misdemeanor in as a pj? I got it expunged. I’ve lost 60 pounds and studying the asvab like crazy
It's possible! Never quit at pursuing your passion.
If it’s expunged should be good
29:54 running a 7 minute 3 mile? That’s insane
7 minute pace
Does retrainnees get the opportunity to go to prep?
What is cone?
It’s the common term for people inside the pipeline. All students are cones.
Inventer 1000 8ct
Lol one of my buddies here on deployment had to do 1002 8 counts with his prep class because the class before him did 1001 as a punishment.
@@milspeccress8864 That's fucked lmao!
My bad for being a rookie but Whats a 1000 8ct
