    Pretty sure we could guess which park in the first 15 seconds. But it's understandable why it won't be named. Great video, as always.

    I'll take rain, snow, heat, cold, but never the wind. There's so many times the wind ruins our trip.

      For sure! If I was on my own I would have slept in the truck bed, the hard sides make wind much more bearable compared to tent material lol

    Bro, you’re in Death Valley. I was there a few weeks back. It’s completely legal to film in national parks. It’s only illegal to fly drones in national parks. Only Oregon and Utah at some national parks you have to call to see if you need a permit to film. And that’s if you have a crew of over 5 people.

    You should check out Butte Valley, Saline Hot Springs, and Panamint Springs Resort (very eclectic CG very rustic and restaurant-almost like dispersed camping). All of it is in the park.

    That Hcalory in a toolbox is a super nice unit. Whoever was having issues, chances are the power station most likely didn't have the correct DC 12V port to power the unit. The biggest drawl is on start-up. Fun fact I learned from LF Bros ( Diesel Heaters) Facebook Page a longer exhaust, can actually cause more carbon build-up. So I've tested my stock pipe same length as you have last night in 12F🥶 no issues at all. A nice toasty 77F🥵 on low. 🤣
    I'm sorry to hear about the wind. Wind always brings us lots of anxiety. Of course, we only camp in the woods, so you can imagine why.
    Must have been fun editing short spots to avoid copyright ding with the music. Looks like everyone was having a great time.
    P.S. Love my Falken Wildpeak AT3W. Rocked it on the last trip up a mountain with crazy snow!

      I'm the one having issues, and it's definitely not power related. The unit gives an overheating error, and from what I've read it's fairly common with this unit and too long of a hose. I tried keeping the hose short without cutting it and was able to run for about 45 minutes without issue. Previously I'd used the remote to turn it on after giving it time to cool down so I'd still have occasional heat, but I'd forgot it at home and didn't want to go outside in the cold to turn the heater back on manually. One suggestion from the forums is to switch to a larger 4" hose to reduce back pressure, so that's what I'm going to try next time. That and shortening the hose a bit. I'll probably also get a tire table like Kaden has so the distance will always be the same and there's less chance of the heater sliding off the table. (It did overnight in the wind! The feet are hard plastic and slippery.)

    • @OutOfOfficeCamping
      @OutOfOfficeCamping 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @brianrvegas Brian, before wasting money on a 4", please try the original car heater hose it came with. I don't understand why everyone on YT seems to push the drier vent hose. 2 personal concerns I've mentioned in several of my videos are the slinky hoses are not rated for the diesel heater hot air temps! Which caused the one we bought to off gas so bad. No brainer there! 2) With the ribs your air flow is reduced. Just think of a water gutter for example, take the slinky hose and now the factory supplied 76mm 3" car heater hose - which will allow the water to flow faster out of the pipe? Going to a 4" hose you'll have to run at a higher setting - which will use more fuel and battery power.
      Every YT content creator who has an over heating code that I've seen all have the same denominator the dry vent hose. All have different power sources different heaters. 5:31
      Please try this before anything else. We had over 20ft of car heater hose with a split using our Hcalory 5k no issues. Video can be seen on our channel. I have all the links for couplers and the 6ft hoses in the description.
      I too have the tire step which I learned from Oxfoot YT channel couple years ago. Nice to have.
      Welcome to the GFC community!
      If you figure it out will you comment back or send us a email. I'd really like to know what works.
      Thank you Mark
