  • World's Most Dangerous Roads: Deadliest Journeys in Katanga, Congo in 2015
Deadliest Roads - Benin: • Deadliest Roads | Beni...
In Katanga many people are waiting for a train named after a bird, the “Swallow”. More than 2000 people, three times the train’s capacity, are squeezing in the carriages. Conditions are precarious in the “Swallow”, which crosses the whole country in more than a week, stopping in several villages. But 1600km are difficult for this 50 year old bird. The rails aren’t well maintained, accidents are frequent and the journey is risky especially for those who choose to travel on the top of the train.
The way isn’t easier by car, by bike or on foot. Road 1, the longest road in the country is often unusable during rainy season. Some sellers have bicycles loaded with their goods, but it’s impossible to pedal in sand so they have to push them all the way through.
Travelling seems a real nightmare in RDC, but delays and breakdowns are a good thing for some, especially merchants who take advantage of the several stops to sell their products.

Deadliest Roads and Trains Congo Katanga
As a rule of thumb, railway maintenance and service is shoddy in DRC or Congo 🇨🇩 (The larger Congo with Kinshasa as it’s capital. The smaller Congo to the Northwest has Brazzaville as it’s capital. It
can be a bit confusing. We are definitely in DRC)
This is a deadliest roads episode but it’s all about the Swallow, a train, originating in the province of Katanga. Congo Katanga.
The train left Lubumbashi five days ago is expected to stop in Kamina. First train to stop here in five months. Passengers and vendors wait. As news of the arrival spreads, people make their way to the station. A phenomenon that repeats itself along the entire passage from East to West.
    We’re traveling with the Swallow.
Starting point Lubumbashi in the Southeast,
heading west across the southern half of the country via Kamina to Ilebo. No time table. Just wait. For the train to come. Eventually it does. The journey is wild, wonderful, boisterous, and beautiful. You can’t mind crowded trains though. No social distancing here (the footage was shot way before the pandemic although I can’t imagine it’s much different now)
Travel with the train 🚂 is cheap
It stops everywhere. There’s a jump on jump off thing going on. And an instant pop up market at every stop.
It looks pretty awesome. Seriously, I want to take this train one day.
    Enjoy!

According to what I've gathered from another Christian, God sends a person to the earth and their fortune is known by the star he sets up for them in the heavens. When Jesus was born, the star of a King was seen in the night's sky. The three wise men followed a star to Jesus' birthplace. King Herod also knew of the star that heralded a king and sought to kill male babies to stop a new King from taking his throne.
Ecclesiastes 10:7 I have seen slaves ride on horseback and princes walk on foot like slaves.
Fortunes can be manipulated. People can look into your fortune and if they see it is better than yours they can change it through witchcraft. Never visit a fortune teller, a diviner or a witch. Avoid all such and other related things as instructed by God. Repent of this if you've ever done it. Getting a stolen fortune back may not be so easy. But there are videos here on TH-cam with good instructions. Make sure they're Christian based, no using the tools of the devil to fight the devil. Use search terms like "how to recover a stolen star" or "how to recover my star."
Yes, God did ordain that some be incharge of others. And if they were left in charge, evil wouldn't grow excessive. But satan has seduced the world with sorcery. People get jealous of other's good fortune and covet it for themselves when they wouldn't manage it very well. They don't bear in their hearts a burden for the well-being of other people.

Let's be thankful for every blessings that we have and let us pray for those people around the world who have less.

The ancestor of this Yeke King was Msiri a Nyamwezi from Tabora (in Tanzania now) this shows that we Africans we are one! Much love from Tanzania. I have a feeling that even Usman and his two brothers ancestors where Swahili from Zanzibar who in 19 century dominated the trade routes in east and central Africa, trading in everything slaves, Ivory etc. These Zanzibaris traders spread everywhere from Stanleyville (Kisangani in the north of Congo) to Zambia in the South.

They should put a branch across the handlebars that is long enough to allow a man on each side of the bike to push from. they could put another from in back of the seat post. That way four men could push the bike with ease. It would also be balanced better.

This explains why we've had such a massive influx of Congolese immigrants in Kenya. It's like paradise to them here. I'm just sitting here in front of my computer on a Sunday afternoon with a large cup of fine yoghurt and wondering where I'll get the cash for a new set of rims for my car yet our neighbours here have real teething problems. How can one even complain after seeing this?

I don't like the braggadocious tone of the OP, but skidrow is in California. Just because it's relatively more prosperous somewhere, doesn't mean everyone who lives there is prospering.
It might be easier for some Congolese to make a living in Kenya. And some Kenyans are making a better living in the US than they did in Kenya.
