I will be skipping golf today and racing back to the weather studio so that we can go LIVE tonight. Assuming we get back in time, I will be LIVE. Subscribe to the channel and click the BELL icon so you're notified when I go live!
Thank you for the sacrifices for your fans! ❤
Thank you for taking your free time off to protect us and keep us weather aware!🙏🌪
The golfing can wait, duty calls!
Wow! Thank you! Praying that there is no severe weather while you are trying to drive.
Ty!! Drive safe!
I told my girlfriend that if someone saw the thumbnails of your recent videos, they would think this part of the USA was completely uninhabitable, lol. Love the content.
Basically 😂 but it’s good to know which areas might be affected by the storms
Yeah, it isn’t an accident. Got my Indiana click in a flash. 😏 Was ready to call off a a BIG family celebration today.
@@sjs9354 I’m from Indiana too and saw we were included so I’m like “well I guess I gotta watch this video to find out what’s going to happen this week” 😂
Bro for real lol
It is uninhabitable in many ways. Definitely not the channel to speak about it what I and others are saying about it but weather refugees might become a thing. Weather like this everyday? It's just mother nature and el nina, okay, whatever...
Please remind people to protect their pets not just cars
This goes without being said.
@@nicolcacola It shouldn't _have_ to be said, but these days it does. Some people really are just that dumb. They'll protect the bank's car more than their own dog.
Yes
Yes, absolutely! We had a tornado a few weeks ago here in Omaha Nebraska. It happened during the day when most were at work and school. Many many pets become lost when their homes were destroyed. Pets get scared by the loud sirens, the high winds, breaking glass, etc. In a panic they run off. After the tornado had finished, some animals were rescued from debris but many were found lost and wandering or hiding. When there is a Tornado watch, I get the pet carriers out, and when there is a tornado WARNING, I immediately shelter my pets in their carriers and in our safe room. Protect them from flying debris and hopefully from death.
@@RT-qd8yl "It does these days" Like people who grew up in tornado alley need the reminder? Please. Barking at the wind
Hopefully this will be one of the last weeks like this this year. I'm getting tired of being weather aware for days straight kinda exhausting especially with storm anxiety.
Just getting started, hurricane season
I'm in CA and been glued on this. Crazy times... Be well, be safe!
I relate
I lived 30 years in San Diego and "big storms" were anything more than a sprinkle for 10 minutes. I live now in TX, I have seen more rain in the 6 months I have been here than the 30 years in Socal combined! Grew up in MI, I had missed real thunderstorms, needless to say I've made up for lost time here😂
@@APBinVTA I lived in cali for 33 years now im in kansas going on 8 years , this damn weather actually scares me lol
We had a derecho a couple years ago in Wisconsin right after we finished the roof on our new house and it made a tree fall right on it smh most pissed ive probably ever been. The tree wasn't even dead either
I live in Houston and we’re on 4 days without power and they’re tellin us it’s going to be weeks before power is restored. Anybody in the path of this derecho need to take precaution and try to evacuate if possible.
That’s crazy, it’s too hot for that, I pray for you that things are done faster 🙏
Don’t tell people to evacuate. Look, what happened in Houston was rare. But a derecho can be damaging, but it ain’t gonna be Houston. We saw how bad it was gonna be. We knew it would happen. It did. This isn’t going to produce another Houston. Don’t offer safety advice if you don’t know how bad it will be, just because you’re shook by Houston severe weather results. Don’t.
Don’t be scared. Prepare. And don’t evac. Don’t listen to evac notices from randos.
@@michaelchaney5909 you’re right, don’t listen to randoms on the internet about weather advice. Got it, I’ll start by not listening to some random named Michael Chaney.
@@michaelchaney5909derechos are very damaging and can last for hours it's like a hurricane just imagine if it was 100mph it's like a ef1 tornado over a huge area that lasts for hours and 100mph can cause a lot a lot of damage too even 80mph
Storms give me tummy aches
Headache here
Storms makes my mom’s arthritis act up.
Same here. I’m terrified of them 😔
Makes me ill as well 🙄
Especially when tornado alley is moving north .ppl who never see tornados might not take it seriously. We had 2 tornados in southern west Michigan. Scary!! We just don't get them like that normally. Idk if the big lake Michigan helps but we really don't see tornados like the south has. Now we have to take every threat seriously. I live in a mobile home. Last place I wanna be if a real tornado hits us.
Praying for everyone in the path of these storms, from Louisiana.
Ofc I get some of the biggest risks right around my birthday… I think it’s odd number age bad luck heh… just something I’ve noticed
Thank you Max and Team for ALL your LONG hours!
From JANESVILLE, WISCONSIN USA
This has been a crazy severe weather season.
And it will get worse - part of our punishment.
@@laurabeissel498 Yep. Gaia is PISSED!
Nothing to do with haarp, cern or the artificial sun. Zesty cheese derechoes
PLEASE TAKE DERECHOS SERIOUSLY!!! Flying patio chairs etc. can fly right through windows and could injure somebody.
I'm here in KS and it's already 80 degrees and humidity is high, thanks Max
What part in Kansas are you at? My daughter lives in Andover
@@deebell8727 I'm 7 miles south of Andover
@@Carol-iu5us my daughter just moved there less than a year ago. She has experienced small earthquakes in California but never tornadoes. She's had some close calls. I pray she never has to experience one .
This is a very dangerous severe weather event, and a possible derecho is possible today with dangerous damaging winds up to 90 or possibly 100 mph

Max, Rainfall totals would be nice to see too!
We have thunder now in Charleston but looks like the afternoon storm will end by 8pm. I woildn’t mind some nice wind and rain for the work week. Thanks for keeping us up to date. I appreciate your reports.
Illinois here.... Can't wait for "Tossing Trampoline & Taco Tuesday" 😮
Yeah, I'm in the northwestern area of IL and it seems like the biggest threat is Tuesday evening
I think Northern Illinois will be mainly a derecho
You shouldn't be *too* worried, because all of the *strong* storms will go to the Great Lakes, but if you're in Chicago, *well,* you'll be experiencing something like a car wash.
@@jameswiggin9939 think the worst will be more north then?
Thank you for keeping us updated
Max, you're awesome. My gardening projects and i thank you!
Yes! I haven’t put anything in the ground yet for fear they’ll be taken out by hail or high winds! I wanted my garden in on Mother’s Day, I’m glad we procrastinated 😅
Thank you max for amazing coverage over the month you’ve been so consistent. I have cousins living in Kansas and Oklahoma so I need to let them know what’s going to happen. Love from Saint Louis Missouri! 💪
can they not watch too?
@@mikeb2611 they can but they don’t know about Ryan’s channel
Wednesday certainly does look wacky. Thanks for the video, safe travels!
Thanks for going live tonight. Kansas appreciates you!
Thanks, Max
9:56 Bro just went along with the square thingy 😂
Thank you for the information, and thank you for keeping us safe, @MaxVelocityWX.
Once I was in my car during a quick derecho. Rain was going sideways in sheets and I felt like I was in a boat in a sea storm! Was totally crazy!
Thank you max! I just got a new truck and of course we have severe weather up in Illinois tomorrow and Tuesday! Gotta love the summer months 😂👍🏻
Congrats 🎉
I live in eastern iowa in the enhanced risk I'm scared to death of tornadoes. Not ready at all. All weather outlets are focusing on iowa for Tuesday
starting to suck living in Iowa
Max is the best weather man ever
I'll be watching for Tuesday. A huge area of an enhanced risk.
Stay safe everyone 🙏
I'm in the enhanced risk Tuesday I'm so tired of these storms come on October come faster

Why do your.posts say Ryan Hall Yall?
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come to you seeking your protection and mercy as severe weather approaches. Calm the storms, still the winds, and quiet the thunder.
Protect us, our loved ones, and our communities from harm. Keep us safe from the dangers of the storm, and shelter us under your loving care.
We pray for those who are vulnerable, especially the elderly, children, and those in poverty. Please keep them safe and provide for their needs.
May your peace and calm be upon us, and may your grace sustain us through this challenging time.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen! ✝️
Remember, God is our rock and our refuge in times of trouble. May He keep us all safe and secure!
Thanks Max!
SW Oklahoma here.
Will this touch Missouri?
Yes it will but he said when it hits Kansas City mo it will weaken a little and then when it passes through it's suppose to weaken
Thanks so much for all you do. Your forecasts and live streams are keeping so many people safe! Grateful for you and the storm chasing community.
Thanks for the scoop Max.👉🏻
Thank you
Where did you go golfing in SC, I live in South Carolina (Myrtle Beach). I am a subscriber, love watching the live streams even though I’m not in the affected areas. (Yet). I lived in Oklahoma in the 70’s and have been through a few tornadoes.
There's a special steam engine currently stopped in Kansas City and will probably be running around the time the storms arrive heading through Oklahoma, east Texas and west Louisiana.
Hutchinson is my birth place. This is on my personal bucket list. Please stay safe ❤🙏
Hey I saw in the video in the northeast/mid Atlantic areas there was a line of thunderstorms that formed on Thursday on the radar you have, do you know anything about that or will you go over that in another video?
Shout out for the Arlington Renegades shirt! Battlehawks fan and weather nerd here.
Thank you Max
I was thinking Derecho had heavy flooding rains too?
Thank you so very much for your expertise and guidance we really do depend upon you to guide us through severe weather. God bless you!!!!
Kind of a weird shaped system. I am in Nebraska in the upper green areas.
I'm on the Gulf Coast of Florida and they are calling for some rain first I've heard of storms though thanks for the information
You know it.
the U.S has been getting hit hard pretty often lately. why is that?
Your question will either be ignored or chastised. Your question is legit In my opinion. I think at least we know why
Geoengineering I think, low flying unmarked jets at night are a pretty good indicator.
Exactly 💯
I'm in mdt
Where does he find the SPC Tornado Outlook that he shows?
Just look up on Google scp outlook weather and click the first one and the first map and there's tornado wind and hail click on one of them and scroll down and you will see if the counties are in the low or enhanced risk
Nooooooooooooooooo😢😢😢😢
Had a good amount of small hail this morning just north of lincoln nebraska already
High risk upgrade?
I don't think you can get a high risk unless a 30% for strong tornadoes is issued. Right now it is only 5%
didn't houston just have a derecho(sp?) a couple days ago.
Yep 😢
Yeppers. It's become the new normal
Northern Michigan charlevoix county the great lakes . Are we going to get hit with this storm ???
Hi Tucker! Hi Max! I will keep my eyes and ears alert for your live stream (if you make it home).
Max, it was a Derecheo, that started in Washington County Texas, ended in Cape Canaveral Florida
The wide spread damage across Houston reminds me of hurricane Alicia. 1983. I was 20. Here where I had 22 inches of rain, we had very little straight line winds.
Got my flying trampoline coffee cup, all is well.
Why is it that I hear Chicago Michigan and Ohio you Flippen never talk about Indiana....it's almost like we don't exist...I hear Chicago Michigan and Ohio...does Indiana not matter uhg it's sad...
Right! I always wonder the same thing
Ok
Do you know the speed/direction of this storm system?
