    Hi! The video is really great!! I wonder if the r2c belongs to the R5 speaker because the driver is 13 cm! Do you think it is worth replacing the R6 meta center? Would 13cm vs 16cm be a problem? Thank you

    Hello. I didn't like R2C because I feel some frequencies (specially on male voices) seemed to be "in the box". Like they were muffled. Did you notice that with the R2C? Is there a real improvement with the R6 meta in this range of frequencies?

    Nicht comparison. Thx. I wonder if 5 R6 Meta in the ground layer would be it for me instead 5 of the Arendal 1723 Monitors

    Hey, have you heard the q650c ? I had it and I loved it, now svs prime and I'm thinking to go back to q650c or go to R2C as the svs doesn't have that "body" in voice which I see you were struggling with too. do you think it could be because of the smaller driver? q650c has 6.5" mid and woofers and now wondering if (higher end but smaller drivers) R2C would have the same problem compare to q650c.
    thanks

    • @mchambliss2
      @mchambliss2  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I haven't had the chance to hear the q650c to give you a fair comparison. I loved the R2c but it was seriously lacking base. The R2c was good when it came to dialog. When I switched to the R6 Meta it was a night and day difference where I was getting my base back and clearness when listening to content.

    • @keepitshema
      @keepitshema ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mchambliss2 so I think with R2c could be the same as I have with prime centre. Probably I will go with q650c - I had it and I think it’s awesome for this money. Next step would be the R6meta which is 3x more money. Thanks anyway

    Hey Max, my question is centered around the BDI and the center speaker placement. I see you upgraded the center are you still housing it inside the BDI? I am exploring this media console but I need to fit a B&W HTM2D3 which is about 12” in height, does the shelf go down sufficiently enough to house 12”? Or will it need to be removed? Secondly, do you notice any degradation of sound by it being inside with the doors closed? Thanks!!!

    • @Noah-Lach
      @Noah-Lach 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have the shorter Corridor 8173, which I recommend if you have a larger television (mine's paired with a 77" C1). The top shelf at it's lowest setting just barely accommodates my B&W HTM6 and a foam pad, which is probably no more than 8" in height. I don't notice any audio degradation with the doors closed vs open, but the reality of putting your center in the cabinet is that it will be lower and further from the TV that it otherwise could be, and that WILL hurt the coherency of your front soundstage. I'm planning to hang my TV specifically for that reason.

    New to home audio, what LR speakers would go great with these? Would it be overkill to get a sub? (For apartment)

  • @a7eca13

    Hey Max, I did the same upgrade, was considering the Kef ref 4 for the added bass but wasn't a good fit dimension wise for my room. A dealer in the UK suggested I add a REL T7x to the center and wot a great difference it makes when u blend that extra bass to the center channel rather than spend an extra £4000 on a KEF REF 4

    • @mchambliss2
      @mchambliss2  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s interesting, I recently purchased the T9X and connected it to the R6 meta center speaker. Im going to make a video about it but I am blown away by the difference the REL T9X made.

    • @mchambliss2
      @mchambliss2  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would go to the REL site first and see what REL sub would pair with the REF 4.

    Very interested in your review. Am considering using 3 x R6 for LCR and 2 x R2c for surrounds. Obviously this will be with subs.

    • @KING_DRANZER
      @KING_DRANZER ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes R6 for LCR is good. But consider R3 for surrounds. As that has more dynamic output than R2. R2 has a bit wider dispersion. But not a deal breaker.

    • @pumpituphomeboy
      @pumpituphomeboy ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KING_DRANZER am avoiding the R3 for rears because they are ported and ported speakers always have issues with placement near to walls and have poor subwoofer integration versus sealed boxes like the R6 & R2. Might go for the R6 all round if I can afford them.

    Hey Did U Ever Have Klipsch Or Svs Speakers 🔊 🤔 If So, How Do They Compare With Kefs???

    • @pumpituphomeboy
      @pumpituphomeboy ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The R Series non meta from Kef is on a higher tier than SVS or Klipsch. This new Meta is another level up.

    • @candoslayer
      @candoslayer 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I love it everything is clear and concise it is also very puncy and goes deep. It also has a very wide soundstage. It is able to pan scenes very well and blend with the r7 and you cant tell which speaker is playing just the soundstage is wow. it was a huge improvement over my paradigm cc450.
