I just came across this awesome video today 5/16/2014. Whoever Big Moe the Engineer is, he is owed a humongous debt of gratitude from this home for bringing joy to my husband's face that I haven't seen in a long time. You see, my husband is an Iraqi vet with a traumatic brain injury. He's not able to travel anymore and we both loved riding Amtrak. We live on the Chicago to New Orleans corridor (City of New Orleans) and rode it quite often, and I rode it a lot when my husband was hospitalized at the brain injury hospital in Chicago. Since then, we've watched a lot of Amtrak videos on TH-cam but I've never seen so much joy come over his face as I did when he watched and listened Big Moe. And to you who videoed this, thank you thank you thank you too for capturing what's not only brought laughter to the hearts of the children I heard in the background but to the heart of my hubby as well.
Thank you! I am totally grateful for your husbands service to our country and very proud that something I made makes him happy. Big Moe is a friend of mine and he always does horn shows like this for me and my little boy. I have a lot of videos of Moe doing horn shows for us. Please show them to your husband. God bless you and him.
Engineers such as Big Moe are the guys who make this hobby that much more enjoyable!! It just adds a little something special when you've got an awesome crew!!
Thank you GT for filming all of this! I know a ton of effort went into the editing. These are my absolute favorites of all time! I've been riding Amtrak cross country since 1988, and I'm always like a little kid when it comes to trains, especially Amtrak. I so wish I could meet Big Moe!! I love this bro!!! Lol
This is why I like east coast engineers, and glad we got one on the coast starlight,he is cool friendly , always waves and gives horn shows every time I see him
That's like the coolest engineer ever! My friend once told me that if I get a job as a train engineer which I plan to go to college for, that I'm probably going to be the next Big Moe. I can just see it!
Metra MP36 407 you don't have to go to college I went to a school that specializes in teaching you how to be come a conductor it's called the Northwest Railroad institute. Check it out
I will be riding Amtrak 19 from New York to New Orleans on December 8th 2012. Hope Big Moe will be at the head end of the Train!!!!!! Does anyone know where he gets on? I figured Atlanta. I will be asking for him.
@ Zane Tekaucic - only if he was a spectator at the event, he only runs the Crescent between New Orleans and Atlanta. He's not certified to run up the Piedmont Division
