Sister True Dedication is the editor of Thay's latest book, Zen and the Art of Saving the Planet (2021), as well as his books The Art of Living (2017) and Love Letters to the Earth (2013). In the early years of her monastic training, she assisted Thich Nhat Hanh and Sister Chan Khong in their engaged Buddhist actions for human rights, religious freedom, applied ethics and ecology, accompanying them on official visits to international parliaments, the US Congress and the Vatican. Sister True Dedication is cofounder of the international Wake Up Movement, a community of young meditators who are finding new ways to combine mindfulness and engaged Buddhism. She currently resides at Plum Village monastery in southwest France, where she spends her time and energy deepening her meditation practice, sharing Thich Nhat Hanh's teachings with a wide audience online and offline, editing Thich Nhat Hanh’s writings and guiding a new generation of young monastics.
Alex Nunn (True Pure Treasure) is a passionate activist, facilitator and public speaker who promotes the connection between compassion and social change. He believes that by turning towards the feelings that come up around global issues, we can unlock the power to really take action whilst also nourishing and restoring ourselves. Alex is Head of Movement Building at Action for Happiness, a movement for a happier and more caring society, a regional community builder for the Earth Holder Network, a Buddhist environmentalist group founded by Thich Nhat Hanh, and an Ambassador-in-training of the Centre for Compassion and Altruism Research at Standford University.
Simona Coayla-Duba (Dancing Presence) resides on the lands of the Quechua peoples in Urubama, Peru, at the base of Apu Chicon and Apu Pumahuanca. Simona is the Earth Holder Community Coordinator, a member of Wake Up Earth Holders and an EH Regional Community Builder. She is a trail-runner, rock-climber, and tea-drinker. She enjoys weaving webs of community resilience and uncovering pockets of joy.
