Lift method for tench, Willows pond Hull. may 2024

We fished Willows pond in Hull, hoping to get the tench on the feed, fishing waggler float on the lift method, with corn and pellet as bait.

Two sessions this week - two different ponds and nothing but Roach & Rudd eating corn & pellet. I feel your pain.

Nice morning session. Rudd looked in good nick. Lovely little Tinca's, it's nice to land the 7lbers, but the babees are good fun too. 🐟🪱🎣👍

the fish in here are mostly tip top condition, not many bigger Tench, the odd 4-5lber.

Is it HDAA only or can you get a pass from Willows club?
Love the videos as they are local to me..

willows do a pass, but if you have transport then the hdaa ticket is great.

Why hook the corn and not band it on? Could have saved the lost fish 👀

i think it's just so ingrained (50 years fishing)that i do it, even though the band is right there in front of my eyes!

best bait in Willows is bread or muscle

Yes bread works well, but there is so many small Rudd that hammer it before it gets to the bottom.
