That Jerry Maguire scene is funny because it’s where the Joker in the Dark Knight uses the line “you complete me” from. At least that’s the connection I’m making.
@@JabberwockyReacts At 25:25 through 25:29 yeah The phantom zone actually exists within the Superman comic books but you're going to have to dig back really far you might have to dig as far back as the Superman silver age comic books. 😅😅😅😅😅😅
The Serendipity movie joke was referencing The Dark Knight because during the interrogation scene with Joker he quotes Serendipity with the line "You complete me". And at the end of this movie they show the Serendipity scene with that line
It´s a relief that they had an older Barbara Gordon in this movie because matchmaking Batman and Batgirl in a version where she is much younger than him is just weird, in most comic versions she is closer to Dick Grayson´s age and they date, but I guess if this movie gets a sequel I´d like Robin to meet Starfire I like her much better than Barbara
@@rafaelmarkos4489 True, I guess the way you first meet them affect which one you´ll like the most, the comic books, the Teen Titans animated series, the Young Justice series, etc
@@kailevil3444 yes but things changed, she kinda became the female representation in the team considering girls became also interested in comic books with time and I think they made her younger so the teenage girls reading it could relate more with her, she also became a Batman equivalent of SuperGirl kinda like Robin was of Jimmy Olsen
19:56 “batman i guess is bruce wayne’s gay lover” it’s funny you say that because homophobes boycotted this movie for promoting gay adoption with the whole “batman and bruce wayne are robin’s two dads” joke LMAO
This movie and soundtrack was my whole life when my son watched it back to back to back to back. If you asked me what music I liked at the time, I would have said, Let's Get Nuts by Batman. This is the best Batman movie there is. Period.
_(arrives late to the party)_ Yes, the Phantom Zone is a thing in the comics (and all those obscure bat-villains are legit, even Condiment King). Originally it was just what it says on the tin: a ghost dimension that allowed the condemned to waft about eternally, invisible to everyone else, able to observe but not interact, even with each other. (Which is actually kinda messed-up on multiple levels. But occasionally it was used to save individuals with incurable diseases.) In Richard Donner's _Superman,_ it was depicted as an orbiting magic-mirror-type portal, rather cramped inside, but in Jeannot Swarc's _Supergirl_ it was a vast wasteland one could walk out of if they really wanted. Most recently the Phantom Zone and the ethical considerations behind it were an important element in the fourth season of _Young Justice._ (Edited to add: Phyllis is exclusive to this movie.)
It blows me away with how amazing the Lego Gotham City looks it's so Tim Burton has the Art Deco Gothic look combined with elements from the 1930s/1950s such as those retro adverts something the Arkham games does as well and of course the Burton Batman movies. It seems they drew heavily from the Burton films even featuring Billy Dee Williams Twoface who played Harvey in Batman 1989 but we never got to see him as Twoface because Burton was pretty much told to quite after Batman Returns with WD being unhappy with how dark the film was. There's actually 1989 comic's that take place after Returns featuring Twoface and even a Robin of this universe. Not a big fan personally of Metropolis and Gotham in the DCEU there pretty generic cities lacking a personality BUT I respect people who love Ben Alfred Batman and Henry Cavill Superman. i'm super happy that you enjoyed this film it's a loveletter to everything Batman. 29:26 Also just noticed that this is the Batman #5 Boatmobile from 1941 with this design lasting throughout the 1940s with a few changes. 36:31 Barbara Gordon is Batgirl in the comic's pretty much No Batwoman has ever been a Batgirl, and no Batgirl has been a Batwoman. Kate Kane for example is Batwoman usaually depicted in a Bat and red suit with long red wig. Kate is the Cousin to Bruce on his mother's side.
Btw the movie he was watching in the theater was Jerry Maguire from 1996, with Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding Jr. If you haven’t seen it I highly recommend it, as it is one of my favorite sports films.
My 11 year old daughter loves this movie too, but nowhere NEAR as much as her 45 year old parents... along with LEGO Movie, LEGO Movie 2, and LEGO Ninjago movie. We even spent a week at LEGOLAND because we're such freaks.
just because no one else answered and I can't leave it alone.. that movie with Tom Cruise and Renee Zellweger is Jerry Maguire and its one of the ultimate romcom cringe movies from the 90s.
Actually it's the Kraken from the original 1981 Clash of the Titans. Apparently they wanted Godzilla, but couldn't get the rights to use it, so they went with the Kraken.

"Ladies, it's ok if you stare. Why? CAUSE I'M A BILLIONAAAIIIIRREEE!" is the greatest line in musical history😂😂

Wasn't Barbara created on the comics so people wouldn't think Batman was gay? Also she wasn't near Grayson's age at the beginning.
