@@greatestoftheseco7473 okay, awesome! Thanks for responding. I'm new to clay jewelry and I just bought my first set of the Sculpey Souffle (online). Not sure if those colors are included but they're beautiful!
Thank you! I recommend Sculpey Premo, or Sculpey Soufflé. I would stay away from Sculpey lll for earrings. Cernit is a great brand as well, you just have to order it online, because it’s an international company. ❤️
They look beautiful 🥰 I noticed you didn't sand or buff them...is it necessary? And I noticed when I make them the backing can look messy so is ot ok to pit it onto a base? Sorry I am new and watch a lot of videos but I have a long way to go haha I just get a little confused
@@greatestoftheseco7473 Back in the days I'd use soft pastels to add color, but I'd mixed them with the clay very well, never used varnish on those. I still own the earrings and they look great. Thanks for replying! I loved your technique!
I have done that before, and it definitely an option if you don’t have a drill. I prefer using a drill because it’s a cleaner hole. Also, when you make your hole before baking, it can alter the shape of the earrings because you’re shifting the clay, and essentially pushing that extra clay around. I hope that makes sense. 😊
I used Sculpey Alzarin Crimson, Copper, Graphite Pearl, and the orange and yellow were custom colors that I made and had left over from other earrings.
I actually went to Home Depot, and bought a porcelain floor tile. It’s only $2 and I love it! Here’s the link for the one I have. www.homedepot.com/p/Home-Decorators-Collection-12-in-x-24-in-Carrara-Polished-Porcelain-Floor-and-Wall-Tile-16-sq-ft-case-NHDCARR1224P/205138045
@@greatestoftheseco7473 thank you! I was curious about tile. I got a glass cutting board and flipped it to the smooth side. My clay just sticks. Sticks to the glass, the metal roller. I’m clearly doing something wrong.
if your clay sticks to everything it might be too soft. Maybe try a different brand of clay, or put it in the freezer for a few minutes before rolling. Putting flour on your surface reduces sticking too.
Where can i buy polymer clay? I'm from Dominican Republic and i want to buy a kit of polymer clay (online). Btw, no polymer clay kits available on amazon.
There’s a small company called The Clay Republic that does ship internationally. You just have to check the postal service’s shipping policies. Covid has changed a lot of things, in regards to shipping. But also, if you have Instagram, check for clay suppliers there as well. Or any craft stores. I hope this helps! ☺️
Hi, Its my first time using polymer clay and the first time I tried after heating the clay I saw that my earrings had bubbles. How do you prevent that from happening?
There are a couple of reasons it could be bubbling. Number one is the type of clay you’re using. Softer clays (in my experience) bubble a lot more. Also, conditioning your clay. I try to run mine through my pasta machine, or roll it with my acrylic roller for a few mins. If a bubble does for while you’re rolling it out, pop it with a tissue knife and roll it again. I hope this helps. ❤️
Looks like a beautiful floral
pattern. The colors are great!
Now I'm motivated to go back to my polymer clay. These are beautiful!
You are so kind! You should definitely do it again. ❤️
Came here from the Polymer Clay Superstore newsletter. I’m liking your tutorial style!
That’s so awesome! Thank you so much!
❤very educational video. They turned out so pretty.❤I loved the designers as well.
Thank you so much!
Gorgeous!!
Thank you!
Very concise instructions. Quite helpful.
Thank you! So glad you found it helpful! 🥰
Wow love it! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! ❤️❤️
Beautiful, new to the clay world and wondered do earrings need a sealant? Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! You don’t have to seal polymer clay. I do like adding uv resin to some designs because it does make the colors more vibrant.
Try a rigid blade. I prefer them😀
Great effect... I'm new at the clay game.... This looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing.... Take care and God bless. Sue 😺🙏
Thank you! God bless to you as well! Happy New Year! 🎉
Everything looks very pretty .

Very pretty, thank you
Thank you!

Marbeling is too much fun
Yes! I love how unique the results are every time.

Beautiful marble! Not sure if you said it in the video or not but what brand of clay are you using?
Thank you! I’m using Sculpey Premo. Premo and Sculpey Soufflé are my favorites. ❤️

So you don’t sand and put any type of coating on these? I love the colors and will make tonight. Thank you 😊
I’m so glad you love the colors! And no, no sealant was used on these. ❤️
I'm new to this 'clay game' too. Thanks for the great video! You got a terrific marble look - what type of clay do you recommend?

I see you don't use varnish, back when I used to make earrings a few years ago I didn't use it for every piece. Is it really necessary or optional?
It is definitely optional... If you use glitter or gold leaf, or even add paint to your pieces, then I would say to use it.

Thank you so much for subscribing! 💗
What are the names of the colors used?
👍😀
Why don't you make the hole before baking? (Curious because I've never worked with clay before.)
What drill and pasta maker do you use?
Hello!
What mold do you use for the flowers?
Hi! I use a silicone mold I found at my local craft store. It was actually with the polymer clay tools. Amazon and Etsy have some as well.
What are the colours you used for this beautiful marble?
I used Sculpey Alzarin Crimson, Copper, Graphite Pearl, and the orange and yellow were custom colors that I made and had left over from other earrings.
