I would be unbelievably disappointed if the Grizzlies don't get a Center by October. Whether it's Clingan or through a trade. I'm riding the Clingan hype train though.

We need a good center that can lay a good screen and rebound the ball. Everything else is a smaller problem.
Yes, we are a poor shooting team. But we have two of the best 3 point shooters in the league on our team. Kennard just happens to be a lower frequency shooter from 3.
Last year was an outlier. Bane shot under 39% because Bane could be doubled every single game and they could play him extremely tight. So you think Bane is going to have a lot less wide open 3s in ‘23 compared to ‘21 when we had the whole team?!? And the same goes for JJJ and others. Our roster was so weak that the pressure on the stars was immense.
We will have the opportunity to see a healthy team, god willing. WE SHOULD PICK UP 2 CENTERS IN THE DRAFT AND GO ALL IN! SELL THE FUTURE PICKS, (they will suck anyway because we will be top 5 for years to come) AND GET CLINGAN AND EDEY. Bam, right there, you have locked in a starter and taking a big risk on Edey that could pay out if everyone is wrong about transferable skills. Worst case, you dump one and one will definitely be an nba starter.
I actually think we should make a move for a 3rd center and pick up Drummond on a very small contract and he could be a guy to step in if either of the two need more work. You can basically get all 3 of those guys for the price of Adams, a trade I hated, but would look genius if they pulled that off.
The shooter is going to have to wait or maybe we could squeeze one in? The centers are what is really needed to free JJJ, one of the most talented power forwards who’s being squandered with this center experiment.

Besides Grizzlies have a very compatible guy already drafted in Europe right now.
What about drafting Kenect and signing Demarcus cousins to the vet minimum

You’re not gonna beat the Celtics five out because they’re gonna out five out you. They have trouble with good paint play , think bam ,butler, joker Gordon. We need an athletic center and Drummond off the bench. As far as Wiggins you might as well said Ben Simmons who needs drama.
This guy doesn’t fit in the team’s needs or plans. He’s just another regret waiting to happen.
Who cares about Hurley, lakers or that contract..
Why not sign @JamesWiseman ? He is still young for development.Also we can get him for cheap.Therefore we can still draft the best player available at #9 and maybe get another big free agency.I feel that Wiseman and maybe Edey can be good for 20m a game like the Dallas Mavericks do with there 2 young bigs.
Wiseman has so underperformed. Not worth it.
Only way for Wiseman is becoming a 3rd Center for us behind New starting big and Jaren/BC

Why do Memphis want to sign a player with a contract that goes from 26 M$ to 30M$ (Andrew Wiggins) during next three years to be a role player?
Harrison Barnes is 18 and 19 M$ next year to much for someone behind Smart, Bane, Vince and GG.
I don't want to sign someone to steal minutes to GG Jackson development, don't draft Knecht
