  • This is the first video in a 3 part series about how to create a miniature house with a playable interior. In this first video, I show you the basics of how to create the structure of your building. My creative process is very open and I like to just start building and making decisions as I go. That being said these techniques and processes work perfectly with a ridged plan.

    Mate enjoying your channel so far.
    Just something to consider. There are so many countries of people (myself included) who use the metric system.
    Luckily for me I’ve been crafting for a long time.
    But if you’re following the video step by step.. there is a lot of conversions to do.

    You didn't need to eyeball the angle at which the second roof lies. You had them all along when you cut the initial gables lol nice job though, a pleasure to watch :)

    Wow man! Your stuff is fantastic looking! Thank you doing these. I had tried being as precise as you are with playable interiors via papercraft but it got overwhelming and I stopped. I'm glad to pick up tips from you (that Gable trick is amazing) but I definitely have to be more of an eyeball it guy or else I will feel these types of things are too big for me to tackle.

    Your buildings are splendid. You have nothing below some of the pricey, pre-made buildings on the market. For people who have time, this must be a great hobby.

      Jacob Hope Fair question! If you get a good coat of podmodge like I show in the painting of this build it holds up great:) haven't had a problem with any of my builds and I've dragged them all over lol

    Cool build. Sometimes its worth to take some measures.
    I'm a bit jealous of that foamcore with the easy peeling off paper. We dont have such in Germany.

    • @PilgrimofMatter
      @PilgrimofMatter 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      But you have the dense BASF foamcore that we don't have in the US and Canada, so ***I'm*** jealous. :)

      In Germany you have Depron which is basically the same and comes in 3 and 6mm! I’m Dutch and import a pack every other year or so.

    • @tabletopbastler1288
      @tabletopbastler1288 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sadkingbilly Ah, cool. thank you. Wll try to find Depron. With the foamcore I get in germany, its not that easy to peel off the paper.

    • @sadkingbilly
      @sadkingbilly 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tabletopbastler you’re welcome! Depron is basically foamcore without the paper. It’s sold in baumarkten, I think Bauhaus has it. It’s used for insulating walls and comes in 1x1 meter plates. (Edit: apparently no longer, but 62,5x80 now. Oh well.)
