What do you recommend? I’m going this weekend. I’m thinking spoons to lure in mackerels, pinfish for grouper, and sand fleas for sheepshead pompano or permit?
Thanks for watching and my apologies for the delay in replying. Everything is good to fish with but Shrimp. I will use shrimp to get some white bait (ie pins) using a sabilki rig but I will use fish or lures. Spoons are good, pins, sand fleas, it really just depends on what is biting. It gets crowded later at night, if you go then try to get there around 5:30pm because you have a lot more options to choose where to fish vs going later. You are supposed to get a certificate, take a class about birds and show it when you fish but no one has asked for it. I took it but they did not ask for it. That is my 2-cents😁
@@MAGA-AND-LEGALIZE-420 I agree with you but if you do not have a long enough rope then the net will close near the top of the water where you dropped it. One gentleman I spoke with had a 50' rope with the castnet and it worked well. Mine is only 25 feet and does not work well which is why I used the sabiki rig.
Greenbacks won't take your shrimp, but sheepshead, triggerfish, cowfish, and puffers are notorious bait stealers.
I usually get 1 dozen for a Danilo rig to catch pinfish, grunts, and lady fish to catch grouper
Thanks for watching. I have not heard of a Danilo rig. I tried a net before but my line is not long enough off the pier.
@@BeyondFishingFamily my fault I typed sabiki but it autocorrects 🤦♂️
@@LandonFarrell Auto-correct can be good and bad. I have experienced that before 😁
@@LandonFarrellsquid on a sabiki works just as good for me, cheaper, and stays on the hook better
This is straight facts.

Bring a cast net and try for some green backs. I hear they work very well.
