This was recorded in the Chicago Northside church by Pr Nupnau. Pr Walter Gehring directed. His wife played the organ. The Chicago District choir sang and maybe Milwaukee was there, too. Cassette tapes were sent to the various congregations for practice before the big service in Detroit. Pr Lemke directed the men's choir. Yes, a beautiful choir with talented directors.
No George, this was the Chicago recording choir recorded in Beloit wisconsin. This was the practice tape for the Jubilee year service.. This tape was sent to participating choirs to learn the music for the service.
Yes, we recorded this tape in Beloit (I was there, too) The acoustics of the Beloit church better suited the recording. We had recently before this recording installed a (new for us) Haygren organ in Beloit. Rgds, Ed Nupnau
Christian T they're all in the brown choir hymnal. There were ninety and nine.jesus calls us. O Lord of hosts. Gathering homeward ye pilgrims.(addenda)How lively is zion.( I'm doing this off top of my head).i was there.

Although the music is good the performance was very slow which for me makes it boring. For example this is how King All Glorious being performed at the intended tempo: th-cam.com/video/70b9seGAGQM/w-d-xo.html
I am watching from Western Cape South Africa
I remember that service in Detroit, and I was also in the choir. Brings back fond memories.
Almost 40 years and I can still remember the words

Hi George ... it was recorded in Beloit. I remember it well. It was a group of singers that dad picked for a practice tape. It was a very long night.
I guess asking for a song list from this long ago would be a stretch?
