The best Video iv seen so far about the area. thank you!
Awesome, and thanks for the encouragement! Hope you get out there and check it out!
Cool place! Loved the wind caves… reminded me of the Flintstones lol but you’re right about Star Wars too!
Flintstones for sure! 😂🤣
Thanks for sharing. Your mom looks like she loved it!!
She’s becoming an experienced off roader!
Great video! Love the geology of this region! Awesome views Doc! 👍
Thanks friend! Let me know when you make it down this way!
Love that area. Used to go to the Arroyo Tapiado Mud Caves and hike into Sheep Canyon w/ my sons' boy scout troop often. Lots of fun places to explore in Anza Borrego. And lots of cleanup afterwards.
They could be dusty! Yes, we love those places toO!
Nice piece Doc ! You really tell a good story…always have. Keep it up !
Thanks Randy! Storytelling through video is such a cool art form, something I know you know a lot about!
This was interesting and informative, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love it Doc! I’ve got to get out to Anza sometime this year - or next! 👊🏼👏🏼
Another Doc Wrangler classic!! 😀
Say when and we’re there with ya!
I love the additional info you give on the areas..really good stuff Ian. That van though...I bet it was comfy to have out there even if it was a bit long and low in some parts.
Thanks Will! That van was awesome! Not quite the offroad rig you might want, but capable enough!
Heading out there soon! Can’t wait!
Awesomeness!
im planing to be out there march 10th!
Love your videos, surprised at the low view count. People are missing the boat! Looks like a neat area.
Thanks! Maybe someday they’ll take off…until then, I’ll ge watching these with my kiddos! 😂🤣
Hi. Nice video. I was wondering are there directions on the roads ? Like start from north or south or it don’t matter?
thanks! Fish Creek Wash is an out-and-back drive...you could approach it from a couple other trails, but I think the best run (seen here) is to drive from the Fish Creek campground and then head in to Sandstone Canyon.
Awesome video Doc 🫵🔥
thanks friend! I know you know these places...so awesome getting out there!
How far did through sandstone canyon did the van go? I have a similiar van and would love to go in.
We actually left it at the very beginning, and drove only the jeeps in there. I don’t think you can get through the narrow portions of it, I’ve been back there quite a bit and never seen a sprinter in it.
Has that squeeze point in Sandstone Canyon filled in with sand that much that the pinch isn't as severe now? I looks as though y'all cruised right through it without a ton of thought/spotting. It almost looks like 8-10" of sand has filled in since the last time I saw it.
we ride through this place quite a bit, and yes, it goes up and down with the rain!
Can i get there from Sin Nombre Canyon with just a 4x?
definitely seen folks in there with stock Xterra's make that trip
What brand is your hat?
Melin 👍🏼
the area was sedimentary (mud). very easy. to ball up. look up sedimentary rock.
hmm...don't really know if that explains it...I think this rock was pretty hard when it inverted
I'm going to guess that you are an Aquarius.
Lol, that’s hilarious, why?
