Love! I'm travelling for six months on a RTW trip and I want to do some volunteering. If you have any tips to find volunteering work, I'd love to read them :)

they had there own traditional methods of survival for thousands of years that were displaced by imported ideas and products, and people moved away from their self-sufficient way. you can still find remnants of traditional life in the pacific. perhaps they would learn more from looking inward, instead of looking to emulate foreign methods that are already unsustainable means of living for the majority of the world.
Barefoot is known to be a company that exploits tribal people e.g. The Jarawa tribr and does not care about the development levels of locals. In some countries (I'm talking about Malaysia, the Gayana Resort) they fake being 'ecotourism' operators, in truth they are not. This is just something I've learned about the company, you can carry out your own research about them.
Bula Aroob. We can assure you that Barefoot Island Resort is not associated in any way with the businesses that you have mentioned in your post. Barefoot have partnered with us to support the local community.
