    Welcome!! What are your thoughts?

    I loveeee this video.
    I was also so shocked by how much homework I had to do. I vividly remember saying to myself ‘can I just catch a break please!’ It was so bad that the one week where I didn’t have anything due, I felt like something was wrong or I definitely was forgetting something I had to do but I really wasn’t 😩
    As for imposter syndrome, that one is story for another day🥲
    Just know that one day I caught myself wondering if I got accepted into my program just for ‘diversity’ 😭
    Thankfully, things are much better now.

    Loneliness - I triple agree. This place is not easy for the single ones that do not want to mess around. It seems like you have to be the one to ask guys out here 😭. That’s not how we do in my village.
    Imposter syndrome- That is my daily life. I have gone to different office hours and told my Professors I am not doing again.
    Credit score- I also found it weird when I first heard of it. Till now, it’s still a bit hard for me to be spending money that’s not mine.
    Language and Accent - I was tired, I couldn’t hear them because they were too fast, they couldn’t hear me. Disaster up and down 😂. I had to google pronunciation before I ask questions. They said my accent is like Music 😅.
    Labour- I am now a tailor, hairdresser, nail technician, carpenter, event planner 😂. The list continues. I am doing everything by myself and nobody send me.
    Outings- See that splitting of bills ehn, I was shocked. I was like *is this how you people do do over here*.
    The list goes on but God has been faithful.

      Awww, felt different emotions reading this. Well done Esther, you’ve come this far and you definitely have a long way to go. Don’t let imposter syndrome in, you deserve every table/room you get invited to so keep your head up🥰

    Impressive how much you’ve grown and adapted in just two years, Fisayo! I’m so happy for you! I’m glad that you mentioned the importance of the credit score in the US. For many people coming to the US, it’s something new. But it’s like your financial identity, and it impacts a lot of big things in life: rental application, auto rate, mortgage rate, and even insurance cost! So the earlier you know about it and start building it, the better! And more people should know about it! ❤ Love your content, and will keep watching your videos :D

    A lot of potential employers also check your credit. It is like getting a report of how you handle your life and learning if you are reckless with your own money. They don't want to hire someone who is irresponsible with money especially if you are looking at a job in finance or you'll have a company credit card or even to work at a bank.

    From what you said about the assignments... That your Excel solution is awesome and can even be made better by adding Power Automate to send reminders via email.

      Hello Annick, i'm really sorry to hear that. What do you do currently, while you're waiting for school to start and where are you located? Do you have a community of other Africans around you?

    I can relate so well. For me, I can hear people clearly but some particular people never hear me. It has been getting better with time though. The self imposter syndrome has been massive too and tough, but I still believe I am and will make progress. Credit, lol, it's strange and scary but I learned it's the life. I could go on and on. Thanks Fisayo, I've followed some of your videos right from my visa interview season

    Looking forward to doing an MBA , although still a pharmacy student. Did you have any pharmacy coursemate? And how’s the job opportunities like after an MBA there ?

    • @FisayoGracieAbby
      @FisayoGracieAbby  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I knew of people who Seyi did medical sciences, not sure if it was specifically pharmacy.
      There are several job opportunities, you just need to know what you are looking for

    Nice video as usual. Please what tips would you suggest to keep being in contact with adcom after interview.

    • @FisayoGracieAbby
      @FisayoGracieAbby  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sure. After the interview, send them an email thanking them for their time and letting them know you enjoyed getting to know them. Then mention that you’re looking forward to receiving the decision on xyz date they specified during the interview or stated on their website.
      You shouldn’t have to followup again until after decision day (I.e if they don’t get back to you)

    Hello Fisayo, thanks for sharing your journey with us. Feels so relatable. Could you please advise choosing between a 1 year MBA programme and a 2 year course duration, of the two, which would you recommend

    • @FisayoGracieAbby
      @FisayoGracieAbby  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mercy! It depends on what you’re looking to get out of the MBA. I preferred the 2 year program that’s why I went for it.

      @christopherreed3019 ปีที่แล้ว
