I have an olive here in Austria, zone 7b . It grows outside and in winter too. I brought it indoors for one day, last winter . Our winters have become milderI. Lovely autumn display.😍👏😍
Heyllo GARDEN QUEEN at this point you can do amazing things in a beautiful pot mums are soo beautiful you picked some beauties. I bet you dream containers and arrangements.Cause baby you shut the shows Down
Hello Queen, No, no, no, those of us down here in Southeast, Texas, in the Houston area are still struggling with triple digits. We were supposed to get rain for three days in a row. I never saw a drop. How I wish the heat dome that has been stuck over us for more than 2 months would move, but God decides, and for now, we dream of fall. Your mums are beautiful, but there is no way I would buy a fern in this Texas scorcher. I bought two new benches and some poly wicker baskets to style my mums, but I have to wait. Thank you for the beautiful video. I hope you will come by and see my fall garden hopefully in the near future 😂🥵🥰
I’m in love with the color of those Mums. It’s similar to my favorite Vincas. You also have an amazing container collection and always bust out beautiful watering cans ☺️ Thanks for the tips. It’ll help when I plant my Mums later this year.
Those Mums were beautiful! Looked great with the ferns in the background! We use dwarf fruitless olive trees ("Little Ollie") outside in San Francisco...nice small landscape tree for western or southern exposures. Hope you're doing well, GQ!
Hi QUEEN, I MUST TELL YOU THAT YOU DO IT RIGHT. YOU HAVE BEAUTIFUL TASTE IN YOUR POTS,CHOICE OF PLANTS AND CHOICE OF TEXTURE. I ALWAYS HAD A LARGE ECLECTIC GARDEN ,A COLLECTOR OF PLANTS. IM NOW GARDENING IN A COURTYARD ,WITH THESAME APPETITE FOR PLANTS. SO I USE ALOT OF LARGE POTS. IM NOW IN ZONE 7,ok. From zone 9.
I love the look of large pots in courtyards! When I got my first apartment with a patio!! I loved to use containers to make the space my own!!! I can only imagine how beautiful your space is!!! Zone 7 is the perfect zone!
I love all the container planting and look forward to seeing the complete garden tour. Thank you for your positive attitude. Love watching you and thanks for sharing…By the way, I picked up some perennial asters from Lowes clearance but hVe them in pots for now.
Hello Queen.I absolutely love watching you plant and watching your arrangements.I just want to know where you get your beautiful pots from, and yes i have started putting out my mums. I love the 2 tone color of your .
I’m so glad I found your channel & subscribed! I know I will learn a lot. I can’t wait to hear where you purchased your ah-mazing terra-cotta! I just started my collection this year:)
GQ I always learn so much from you! I’ve never soaked the mums before planting and I’ve never fertilized after potting them. My mums close up and never reopen! I was gonna give up but now I know better! But it’s still too hot in North Texas to put anything out in this sun and heat! I had a potted olive tree that dried out and died outside. I moved it into the shade but, I didn’t think to bring it inside! I’m gonna pick up a small olive tree tomorrow!
Just bought my mums yesterday. Will soak them like you said. Hopefully this is our last day for this hot, humid weather. Looking forward to transplanting some perennials, and cutting back others to get ready for fall.
We’re tied a record heat today from 2018 of 108 and Thursday we are to break a long record with 109-110 and we are on n extreme draught here in north texas!🥵
Very pretty, what a gorgeous colored mum. I have not purchased any mums at this point. I do have one perennial mum (red) that has faithfully returned for yearS now. I did clean up my daughter’s 4 tomato plants, harvested all of the 2 lettuces, carrots, and cilantro on yesterday. I left the 4 pepper plants and planted more carrot seeds. I’ll be harvesting all of my produce and cleaning up my garden soon as well. It has been so hot lately, I’m waiting for cooler temps. My zone is 6b as well, here in Ohio. Where did you collect all of your pots from? You have quite the collection and selection, gorgeous!
Hi Natea - another fabulous video!! I picked up mums for the first time last weekend and am hoping they will hold on through the winter. Are you able to recommend a slow-release fertilizer? The olive trees are super cute too 😊 Thank you ma'am!!
I want an olive tree so badly but I’m in 7b. There’s not a room in my house that gets bright sunlight and with these freaky cold snaps we get I don’t think I could keep one outdoors. The weather has been crazy hot but I got a lot of plants for my birthday. I had to hold them in a kiddie pool until this weekend when we finally got down to the 80s. I’m never had any luck buying mums this early. They stop blooming and look awful before we even get to October. I try to buy mums right before Thanksgiving. I do have some heirloom football mums in the ground that I bought in the spring. I cut them back so they’ll be bushier and produce more flowers. I propagated those cuttings now I have 24 heirloom mums so I think I’ll put them in containers and see how they do.
How beautiful! Happy belated birthday!!! This weather is driving me insane!!! 7b would be pushing it! Unless you built a single cold frame / greenhouse around it in ground!
Now friend the Florida weather hits a little different than in the St Louis Region!!! Do shade for sure and make sure you sock them!!! Maybe 2-3 hours of sunlight since you are further south!!!
Thank you for sharing beautiful and amazing plants lovely collection beautiful

Thank you! I use whatever I have on hand! Jobes, Miracle Grow! Whatever is on sale that's what I use! Just make sure it promotes blooms!
What type of olive tree is that ❤❤❤
Thanks for inspiring me! time to grab my own Mums
Yessss!!!! Totally I cant wait to finish planting up my fall show!!!
I soak my mums in a bucket of water for two hours before planting in containers.
You “planted” mums with no soil? I didn’t see you put any soul around the plant or under it. And I think those pots were too shallow
There is soil so much is lost in editing and the pots are deeper than they look! Ill give a update!

No mums yet🤷🏾♀️ I've been listening to.."it's to early" but now that I know better, I will do better 🤭🤔 starting this weekend 😜
