Yung durability ng polycarbonate ay depends din sa pag kakagawa ng framing, may standard spacing or distance ang frame depende sa thickness requirement. Hindi ka pwede mag install ng 2mm thickness na solid kung ang spacing sa framing ay 2feet. Minsan wala sa materyales ang issue nasa installation.

Thank you for this info. I'm planning to use poly carbonate as dirty kitchen / laundry area extension. Since you mentioned of one of the disadvantage is young heat trap, half nalang ng roof is polycarbonate and the other half is young regular an roof.

Kuya archie pwede pa design at ilang tubular para sa twin polycarbonate sa size ng 13ftx15ft naka attache sa gilid ng bahay.hehe thanks idol
Kuya Arch. Ang problema kasi ung na install ung flat polycarbonate sheet napansin namin na kapag malakas ang init bumabaluktot or hindi pantay, pag ok nmn ang panahon or walang araw or umuulan mawawala ang parang alon.. Ano po kaya ang magandang gawin dito kuya Arch. salamt po.
Nangyayari ang warping pag hindi enough yung framing na naghohold sa sheets. At this point the only thing you can do is to add more bracing but most likely mahirap na yan gawin since nakabit na ang sheets. But para hindi naman masyadong halata ang warping, lagyan nyo ng louver type ceiling just below the frames para di obvious ang warping pag mainit.

Polycarbonate has more impact resistance than acrylic.

Pwede pero kailangan ng additional frame kasi baka mag bulge or mag warp.

Depende, Polycarbonate for durability, but acrylic for easy maintenance.
How about yung makapal na rolled plastics po? Like yung typical na pang cover ng notebooks pero makapal sya like 1/4" or so?
madali po yun mg warp o mag deform dahil sa thermal expansion kaya di advisable specially babad sa araw. Wala rin yun heat insulation kaya napaka init noon.

Hi, sa akin personally best ang solid type na polycarbonate sheet. Wala kasi itong grooves kaya madali linisin gaya ng acrylic. Mas mas impact resistant din ito.

Archi tanong lang. May twin wall polycarbonate kami na clear kaso mainit pala sa garahe. Paano ba namin masosolve ang init, may nabibili ba na film para mabawasan ang init?
Wala pong nabibiling film as far as i know. May mga polycarbonate sheets kasi na treated na for reduction of heat absorbtion. Ang maaring solution po: 1. kong pwede, i adjust ang taas ng roofing; 2. pwdeng i paint over ang some parts ng pc roofing to block the light, itira ang parts where ample light can penetrate; 3. try to have cross ventilation sa area, if pwdeng maglagay ng fans at vents, mag-lagay.

Hi, isa sa good property ng polycarbonate ay ang pagiging translucent nito that allows light to penetrate para hindi madilim at para sa aesthetic na rin. If pipinturahan mo lang din naman, gumamit ka nalang ng yero o pre painted G.I. roofing para mas matipid at mas madali itong i miantain.
