    Hi Fisher sensei,
Probably only a detail but I was wondering, what is the difference between the tet-knit and the cotton material for the Uchiwa? (Choosing the tet-knit I probably won’t get that much aizome on my face, but is the tet-knit material going to be as durable as the cotton?) In essence what I wanted to know is, why choose one over the other?
    Thank you :)

Essentially yes you won’t get Aizome on your face with tet-knit, and it feels a bit softer. However, you’ll get more durability out of cotton 👍

Fisher sensei: you might miss this comment because the video is months old, but I'll ask anyway: I have the original Vanguard men, and it's far more protective than my earlier Japanese-branded men, just like you said. However, I've still felt some particularly heavy blows, and I'm wondering which other Kendostar men is even more protective? The 12mm Sentinel? The 8mm Praetor / Kiraboshi? The 6mm cross stitch Akatsuki? Or the Myrmidon? I list the Myrmidon last, because after 20 years of kendo, I prefer the more traditional looking stitches. But if Myrmidon is absolutely the most shock-absorbing men you have, then I'm willing to consider it. Thank you.

      Hi, thanks for your comment!
To be honest, for more protection than the Original Vanguard model, the best option is indeed the MYRMIDON. It is the unorthodox stitching pattern that gives the extra protection. Of course, there are always limitations to how much any Bogu can protect you - but the most protective one we offer is certainly the MYRMIDON 👍

What's the meaning behind the name? Day of Circles? The day of Entirety? Circle of Flame?!

It means 'Round Sun', and is the Japanese word for the Japanese flag.
