Den østerrikske filosofen Ludwig Wittgenstein var som besatt av å ha ro rundt seg når han skrev på sine filosofiske avhandlinger. Han søkte stillhet i Skjolden innerst i Sognefjorden, og bosatte seg på en fjellhylle over Eidsvatnet. Men heller ikke her var det helt fritt for forstyrrelser…

The Austrian philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein was obsessed with having peace around him when he wrote his philosophical treatises. He sought silence in Skjolden in the innermost part of the Sognefjord in Norway, and settled on a mountain ledge above Lake Eidsvatnet. But even here it was not completely free of disturbances...
