    Jai! 1) LOVE your videos!!! 2) can you do tutorials on how to make your fancy concrete vessels? I really dig the one you used in this video and am just starting on concrete vessels…so would love a tutorial vid!! 🥰🤗

    Thank you. I have been doing my calculations in the traditional sense, oz and such. Measuring everything in grams gives a more accurate perspective on cost, breakdown of goods. I'm mad that I didn't think of doing it in grams for most of my materials. Obviously per jar/wick that math still applies but thank you. Now I have an accurate burn time for my creations. Also I definitely want to see a video if u ever try eco resin. ❤❤

      I have been working with epoxy resin but I am not ready to go full out with my findings... When I do you will know.

      @ashleykalston 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not the epoxy resin, resincrete. Powder form and only add water like cementall and hydrostone.

    You are so thorough! And then comes website fees, packaging/branding and marketing, and then people complain about the product prices. Ha!

      @@upvibecandle 🤣🤣🤣 When I started this journey 5 years ago I could only get my hands on 1 jar size as there are only 2 companies in Ireland and of course the same size jars 🙈 I thought then it's easier to get price right first time round. Thankyou so much again Jai for all your knowledge. I'm sure it helps people more than you realise.

    That first candle jar cost $342.60 in materials. That's how I always look at it when getting into a new hobby/venture. Sobering.

    When making concrete vessels what kind off concrete do you need and thanks for another great video vibe candle

    • @upvibecandle
      @upvibecandle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a difference between cement and concrete. Watch this -> th-cam.com/video/KCByTrXFXzQ/w-d-xo.html. If you are asking what kind of cement you need that is different. However, in order to make concrete you need several ingredients. Let me know specifically what you are looking to do.

    What about costs of packing and shipping??

    • @upvibecandle
      @upvibecandle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. However, that has nothing to do with making a candle. I am not saying that shouldn't be included in your overall COGs but I calculated the cost of making the candle not packaging and shipping. Make sense? On the flip side, I did say I have another video going deeper into COGs... Those items are definitely worth adding in.

    Hmm you shouldve rounded the number of jars to 65 nos, you have to assume the 0.7 as wastage instead

    • @upvibecandle
      @upvibecandle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. That is handled in the slippage category.

    I’m absolutely terrible at math. You lost me at cementall. 😂😂😂😂 kidding but boy no one should have to drive 20 miles round trip to get to a Home Depot! I have 2 Home Depot’s within a 4 mile radius of my house. When one Home Depot is out of cementall I just head over to the other! That’s a far trip

    • @upvibecandle
      @upvibecandle  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's18.6 miles round trip so rounded up... It's not bad but 4 miles would be nicer.

      @@upvibecandle they really are and I know at least when you buy from candle science there’s a huge jump in the sizes, it’s 16oz to oz to a 5lb jug! So unless you want a 5lb jug of clean cotton you have to purchase in small amounts and it’s higher priced.
