My beagle, Thistle (R.I.P.) used to hate every song from any band or singer that I ever put on, but whenever this song came on, she sat down next to the cd player and waggled her tail XD She loved it so much, and now whenever I hear this song I think of her
Thistle was a very discerning dog in her musical taste. May she rest in peace, not necessarily for that alone, but because she was a good dog, and all good dogs deserve their place at our Lord's side. They get the best table scraps I am sure- far better than I could ever have provided so far. May she chase rabbits and squirrels in Heaven, and catch them more frequently than in this realm. She sounds like an amazing dog, and I mourn for her passing, alongside you, these years later. Truly, dogs are the best thing we ever domesticated, in that their love for a man is the closest thing to unconstitutional love we shall receive in this life. They just want to have food, and water, and to go on walks and such, and they love us so much in return- God himself sent them to us to at least have that.
Milena Da Cruz The song, together with Put the Bourbon on the Shelf and Midnight Show, are about Brandon killing an ex-girlfriend (Jenny) and being interrogated about it.
It was McDonald's? That would make more sense, the hostile Manager provoked Darren thrift until frayed, fired him and he shot himself while I worked there. She attacked me and refused to transfer me till I gave her the finger and quit and hardcore gangstalkers ongoing
A real murder case requires investigation and litigation, a dismantled and hidden in an alternative dimension out of reach of peace and resources also requires legal council, and not a wording with more than 1 meaning accidentally said while stressed and confused for extensive periods on social media comments changes anything. For the record
@@nathanielramirez3227 😐😐😐😐 u know i don't literally mean i REMEMBER remember, i know and remember the sound of this song from that time so it's familiar to me now is what i'm saying
Maybe the fight was between them and a third party, Jenny got stabbed, she told him she loved him, he held her close so she wouldn't want to scream in pain, then he promised to never let her go. There was no motive for the crime because the third party just attacked and didn't say anything. Just a theory
No robert chambers murdered jenny levins in central park in 1986 he was somehow only found gulirt of manslaughter serves 15 years before being released and jail again for drugs
BRUH GET IT GURLLLLLLLL Man the killers are killing it they always do amazing songs and there songs are the best and I could listen to them ALLLL DAY! ( lol I totally don't>:)
He really did kill her though.. In 'Midnight Show'... It's a murder trilogy (genious!), starting with 'Leave the Bourbon on the shelf', followed by 'Midnight Show' and ending with 'Jenny was a friend of mine'. He's jealous. He kills Jenny and denies ever doing it.
@tophrocks96 i was just talking about the noise. if you've ever played a pokemon game for any handhelds, i think youd hear the noise that sounds like a pokemon.
Its about a guy who murdered his ex-girlfriend and is talking to the police. He asks the police, "Tell me what you want to know," and then he tells them, "There ain't no motive for this crime," and "She couldn't scream when I held her close." He also argues with the police claiming he "Told them the truth," and "Knows his rights."
he was her boyfriend, he thought she was cheating on him because things werent the same with them in leave the boubon on the shelf he kills her in the midnight show and leaves her body in the sea, and in this song is his interrigation b the police and denial of the murder :)
This makes me sad. I was a dancer in my 20s and my name was jenny. This song, and Mr brightside both specific, but I don't recall being killed, unless time was waaaay slowed down and the guy that I let kiss me once and he didn't go home after that. Was 4 years of narcissistic misery. Brought me to my most animalistic worst self. And I left before something escalated. 4 years of 60 second minutes, 60 minute hours, 24 hour days. On Earth. 1 earth revolution around the sun if that's specific enough. There was a mental health medicine geodon so that was surreal. But even if time was messed with, and I endured narcissistic abuse to the point I was myself capable and close to snapping and doing murder. In case that's exactly what happened and I just didn't understand because my reality foundation wasn't gone yet
."i know my rights ive been here all day, its time for me to go so let me know if its ok." he is being able to leave. "i just cant take it! i swear i told u the truth!" refers to him lying or confessing, still not sure on that line. that help anyone or the newbs??
I'm pretty sure I've been in the Finland afterlife where they don't tell you that you died, but I suspect I was born dead and many more if not NDE before the Jenny
Once upon a time, I was jenny, it was my stage name. For 17 years other people have been persistent in manipulating my existence and depleting my peace and life force. If they don't have bad intentions, there's still alot of cooks in the kitchen. I really have been trying to find out what and why and how who, and I'm really not ok, it's taken everything I love and everything I needed to remain independent and care for myself and responsibilities. It's still happening today,. So it isn't over, family, pets, friends, it's over when I get it sorted and figured and I have peace of mind, stability and safety and security.
@TheMaxOfficialYtube Calling us things like unnatural is more than a little hateful. It's not exactly something we choose. If we should keep our relationships to ourselves(our 'little relationships' as you mockingly put it) then you should keep yours to yourselves as well. I do not push my beliefs onto others, nor am I overly public with my sexuality, but I have to argue for our equality. We just want to be treated like everyone else. And isn't the Earth overpopulated enough?
when he says there aint no motive to this crime ,jenny was a friend of mine.. leads me to believe he slept with jenny as a rebound and hell she was around to sleep with so he did now hes defending himself! Like come on!

i love the emotion he brings when he says “i just can’t take this”
that god damn bass line
+Dillion Stocker You notice how it is very Rush sounding. :) He has a geddy sound for sure, makes me love it even more
Ehhhh Check out the bass line to Barbarism begins at home..By the Smiths
That part is why it reminds me of a chase scene from a movie.

so accurate
this song music gives me goosebumps and this is one of the most underrated songs

i love how "she said she loved me" are in both this and midnight show.
Knowing the true story behind this song really illuminates the meaning.
what do you mean?
whats the meaning?
I thought it was Sunday morning, but I believe you.
Without looking anything about the story behind the song, to me this sounds like a man being questioned after the dissappearence of Jenny.
Milena Da Cruz The song, together with Put the Bourbon on the Shelf and Midnight Show, are about Brandon killing an ex-girlfriend (Jenny) and being interrogated about it.
I'm having coffee at McDonald's listening to your song.thank you.
Eric Bishop I'm about to go on my shift at McDonald's and I'm listening to this lol

Lol it's a true case the preepy killer

This track may be about some killer, but I had an ex named Jenny, and to me it just speaks of a couple breaking up over jelousy

I wonder what Jenny would be thinking while listening to this haha
The Killers' best song.
best outro of and indie rock and roll song
It's about how this guy (I think the killer of jenny) is being interrogated and ties to defuse it by saying Jenny was a friend of his
Yo, that the subtitles for the deafs ..
Because The Killers are so powerful they can be heard by anyone.
