the only thing that actually make the mission hard is that you start with low funds while your opponent has a larger ones and they are already done and finished establishing their bases not just the scud storm and the fast attack they does to your base
they prefer to spawn in where your units form a group so they will literally cause damage with one another once they attacked the rebels, this is their tactics to stop the player from having lots of units that the player will intend to use against it's opponent, the solution for this is that make a small group of your army vehicle units for just around 2-3 units per group and always include path finder with it and make them spread around the base so if GLA spawns their ambush rebels pathfinder will kill them all immediately as they only take one hit to kill one soldier because they we're camouflage snipers designed to kill infantry quickly without any hard ship effort
the tactics i can give you here is that when you attack a stinger site use a path finder to attack it in order to kill it's 3 rocket infantry soldiers inside then you accompany them with tanks like the crusaders or the paladin ones as pathfinder kills stinger site's 3 rocket infantry since pathfinders cannot destroy a structure only kill it's soldiers within but except for garrisoned buildings, stinger site cannot attack if it's infantry within get killed use this as your advantage by using tanks to destroy it while it's infantry is dead in the tunnel network it's better to use tomhawks there because it's pretty hard to destroy it as GLA have units inside it waiting for a surprise attack they will make, once the player attacked the tunnel work using vehicle units but tomhawks needs crusaders, paladins and humvees assistance to guard tomhawks as the GLA vehicles inside of it gets out to destroy the tomhawks that tries to destroy their hiding spots, comanche helicopters are not advisable to use as an accompanying units for tomhawks as the quad cannon can easily tear them apart the best units to accompany the tomhawks is the crusaders and paladins being with them as they destroy the tunnel network there are some buildings in the maps that had been garrisoned by GLA infantry units and they are pretty difficult to take out, the best way to take them out is to use ranger soldiers with their flashbang ability but you have to research this first in the barracks before it can be made available in rangers for use, toxin tractors are not preferable units to use to take out GLA infantry garrisoned buildings because they have long ranged rocket soldiers that fires rapidly and there are in around 2-4 in numbers they can easily destroy any approaching vehicle unit in their building, taking them out with combat drops of rangers from a chinook is also not advisable because of the rocket soldiers inside they shoot fast and chinook's armor is not that durable to resist rocket projectiles in it's armor, they can easily tear down a chinook or any other air units so it's better to use rangers to take them out by flashbang since they can easily avoid rocket projectiles of GLA rocket soldier and the spraying toxin weapon of toxin rebels.
Funny how this is way easier than USA 4, you can just build 2 Particles to clear Scud then Comanche and go left side of map and up then get rid of anti air then rebel and ranger ambush then finished .-.

i dont whats the difference with hard difficulty, but I recall I breezed thru this map by spawning rebels in the rockets
