I've been listening to this song for decades and it never gets old. Definitely one of my favorite songs.
They are not his background singers. This is common in the Philippines where friends meeting together and perform. Only Michael's name was on the title to create demand for the other artists' names and that has been effective. 🏆🥰
No offense but I don't think you understand what background singer means, there's a lead singer (Michael), then the others support himm therefore they are backup singers.

Covid claimed Theban back in 2021.....a very talented keyboardist...appreciate the members names...ty.
This is a cover from the band south border… check them out they’re insanely good band as in really dope… although at different timeframe they did change their vocalists… so i do recommend to listen to their song based on the original singer…

South Border is a local band that began in the 90's and known too with lead singers that have a very good falsetto voice.
Jay Durias is also one of the producers of SB19’s MAPA, along with Pablo and Simon Servida.

Yes, it’s a cover. The original song is actually from a Filipino band called South Border back in the early 2000’s. And one of the singers of South Border helped with one of SB19’s songs…I think Mapa.

Our filipino alphabets are very much similar to your American alphabets - vowels and consonants, except for some added letters like the ng and ñ. The only big difference is how we pronounce it. The vowels, a e i o u, are pronounced in only one way. a- ah, e- eh, i- eeeh, o- oh, u- uuh. Try to open your mouth while the end base, not the tip, of your tongue touches the ceiling of your mouth. While in that position, try to blurt out a sound using the combination of the syllables ngah, ngeh, ngeeh, ngoh, nguuh. The desired sound will come out naturally from your mouth maintaining the said tongue position. It takes a little practice to perfect it. I hope this can help you out.
