The main reason I have a Reason sub is the players. I love the generative stuff-it's so inspiring. Idea generators. I hope the developers really explore the possibilities of generative players even further. I'll be there for the journey. Appreciate the video.
Yeah it must be tough for Reason Studios to get all these influencers and musicians to make videos for them but none of them actually use Reason as their DAW in real life. I’ve loved Reason for years- it was revolutionary when it came out. But they neglected DAW/MIDI workflow features for years and watched the industry pass them by and are now playing catchup, trying to pass off simple workflow features as main selling points. It’s a tough position to be in. What they need are genuine Reason power users that can show off the depth of Reason because they’ve actually used it for years. They do themselves a disservice featuring Ableton users who only scratch the service, confusingly trying to manipulate presets, figuring it out on the fly and generally creating underwhelming demos (while seemingly being confused on how Reason actually works). Reason is a truly deep and powerful application, its devices are astonishingly light on CPU and it’s had features for decades other DAWs are just catching up to (e.g. convolution reverb, console modeling, etc) but these (probably) paid influencer videos just seem shilly and fake. It’s obvious these people don’t actually use reason and it shows. Why would Reason Studios promote these people on their channel???
i would like to buy add on from reason but the reason shop is not allowing me to buy products does anyone have the same experience and what can i do about it?
It helps them sell the software though, because for anyone that doesn't use Reason as their DAW, they can now see the benefit of the tools, but not feel like they *need* to leave the environment they're already comfortable in. I only use Reason, so I get what you're saying, but them having a larger market share could be good for all of us?
@@overseastom but they aren’t going to increase their market share if they keep featuring non-Reason users in their demos. I’m not just talking about people not using Reason as their DAW. I mean I’m confident the woman in this video doesn’t use Reason ever. She was probably paid to film herself messing around with Reason for 10 minutes and this is what we get. It’s sad.
The error "file has bad format" when opening older Reason projects in a newer version of Reason (like 13.1) could be due to compatibility issues or corruption in the file. Ensure Full Version Compatibility - Subscription Differences: If you have switched from a purchased Reason 12 license to a subscription-based Reason 13.1, ensure that the subscription plan includes all packs, features, and Rack Extensions used in the Reason 12 projects. Missing Rack Extensions or packs could cause issues. Maybe this helps ;-)
I have yet to hear a single creator make a GOOD track in Reason in the last couple years (except some good-sounding Drum and Bass by IJO Sound). All I hear is "beep-boop" crap like this showing how to make some farts with some kicks. it all sounds so incredibly amateurish. Meanwhile I can find countless almost radio-ready tracks being made in Ableton or FL all over youtube in house, rap/trap, pop, even movie scoring. What's going on?? Reason Studios team really can't afford to hire just one pro-level guy to make a professional track in Reason and explain how to leverage Reason's synths to make such a track??
Totally agree. It’s because all the influencers they hire aren’t genuine Reason users. The Ableton/FL TH-camrs actually use and know their software. Reason probably pays these influencers to demo Reason but they have no idea how to use it and make these generic sounding tracks, making themselves and Reason look amateurish. Sad.
The last pro level guy (KSHMR or FREEMASONS or Lucky Date name it) abandoned in favor or Live or other DAWS . I have not one friend using Reason here in Italy.
I think its because thats what music the core Reason users make, the experimental stuff. But Im wrong cause I use FL and i'm just waiting for them to bring back the intro version so i can use it as a vst without wasting $500.
I do agree, however for me it's the interface that draws me to use reason. It's so user friendly. I've seen my friends use FL and it takes him almost 10 minutes to do something that I could've done in reason in less than 30 seconds
@@neofox2526 No I'm sorry much higher quality Experimental music is being made by Ableton users, Bitwig, Reaper users etc.. You can be experimental while still getting musical results and not sounding so amateurish.
why not update kong instead...bunch of new modules...kits...new trick tools..updated routing options people wanted for YEARS.. ty. all what is shown here could have been done years ago with tools already included.... (old news)
YUP! They should revamp their already existing devices with the latest features (WE DON’T NEED ANOTHER SYNTH) and then have actual Reason power users make a video for each device showing off it’s depth and how it competes or exceeds other paid options on the market. THAT’S where Reason’s power lies. Each device on it’s own would be a $50 plugin but you get all these features for one price (although I do hate that they wall off most new devices- when will Objekt be included in the paid price?!?). The Scream device is light years ahead of most Saturation plugins but the general public is unaware. SSL just released a bit distortion plugin for $70 and Scream, which is included in Reason, can do everything it can and more… 15 years ago. It’s wild Reason is struggling how to show their software competes with their competition. They just keep making underwhelming demos with influencers who don’t actually use the software IRL (excluding Ryan, who’s great but he’s preaching to the choir, not converting the non-believers).
@@genericuser7319 Preaching to the choir gets you new followers from word of mouth ya know. The choir can also show us how good Reason is and convert folks too. I'm subbed to Sef Nitty and he constantly uploads and shows what he's doing on Reason 13 to create Hip Hop/NY Drill/Trap. I have Reason along with Ableton for the best of both worlds.

You just put out the phrase from my mouth. I can’t stand when they speak about Reason without use it 😢
Yay, another RRP video. 😂
There was no benefit to housing the rack inside ableton. It didn't make the flow any better. In fact, it put me off following along and lost interest.
Ableton sucks
I’d like to see Reason sequencer. I hate Ableton Live
look, I don't like DAW beef, but get producers that exclusively use Reason
Thanks for Information 👍😎👍
Is that Reason 14? Looks great! 😋
No Reason 15...
Reason 13.
@tanasi111 🤣
@Artek604 🤭
She’s using it in Ableton.
Big Reason nut here, but...
From 0:00 to 0:20 what is that Arturia keys thing?
MiniFreak (also available as a virtual synth, and also as part of the bigger V collection)
I just installed the update a few seconds ago, haven't opened it yet.
congrats - thx for the info

Yes. Look at the user you used. You have to use the same user you buy Reason or other products and not simply your email
