Bass's voice adds a certain level of depth and substance to this song I didn't even know it needed, but I absolutely adore this collab. You ever thought something was really awesome, and something gets added to it and you're just like "how could this possibly have become MORE PERFECT?!" that's how I feel about this version of the song.

Heck yeah. I've also done this one where I boosted the Oh's with a bit of echoing soprano and alto parts, like distant valkyries calling the fallen. Really cool.
I just love how the first : Bass , stoic , a man of stone , a pillar for the village , the third : Peyton the warrior , active , protector of the family , meanwhile MoS , the casual smiling dude who sings the song while drinking ale with homies
Imagine the three of them as an adventuring party in a world like Skyrim, seeking out to fight some evil, or solve some crisis plaguing their village.
Im just imagining them as like a D&D party where all of them multi classed into different bard subclasses

Fuck, dude, I would love to see a movie with Eric playing a warrior-king who's retired from the battlefield but has this kinda noble understanding of the horror of war. He'd nail that role with the whole regal but imposing vibe.

That bass enhanced the song for me. Wasn't even aware you existed prior to the song showing up on Gavin's channel Miracle of Sound. Now I've subscribed. Now if only I could learn to sing. This song has reminded me of my desire to learn. I try singing high and my throat hurts, I sing in the middle and it cuts out, and I try going low and I can't get the words out fast enough or the wind in fast enough to keep up. Big guy with a small lung capacity.

I used to have the same issue of being winded while singing. The way I got better with it was taking different songs to practice singing with, the one that helped me most was Soldier Poet King by the Oh Hellos. And when trying your pitch, don't force it, you'll naturally find in your own time.

@@thatbassvoice I’ve listened to this song quite a few times and I think I might be growing chest hair now. With that I might actually look like a Viking now cuz I’ve already got the beard and ponytail. True manly men.
And that Eric didn't have a solo. I'm ultra jelly of his low low range. I'll just have to embrace being a mid range baritone. I've on occasion surprised myself hitting notes slightly lower than my normal lows but nothing like this man's beautiful natural bass.
@@bubbadilligaf I’m normally pretty deep but not as deep as him. If I don’t speak for over half a day or more my voice gets unusually deep for about a min. Getting awfully close to his deep voice.
