I'm still, after 12 years, really disappointed that all the automation was taken out when it moved to the Novello. Literally no difference to the tour set anymore. Heard someone say they didn't have enough depth for the lift, which I don't really believe. Also the neon floor could've easily been implemented here. Assume they decided to keep it as low budget as possible, since it already had an established name before the move. Which is a shame. There's school productions here on YT that look better

I'm so surprised they don't have a lift on the West End for Dancing Queen - we even had it during the original Australian production.
I know. I was expecting it the first time, it felt so wrong when it didn't come up. I thought it had malfunctioned but no, they don't even have one.
