Arguably the best episode so far, Jim really being candid and showing a different side, brilliant stuff. Keep up the good work gents, up the pirates 🏴☠️
Really enjoyed this, loved the bits you wouldn’t have heard anywhere else. Just picturing Feners in the sleeper hold on beat up your boss Friday!! Great stories lads 👍
Really like the episodes with the guests, especially the kit designer one, good to see a different side of the game instead of just ex-pro’s going on about the glory days. Get Stefan Borson on for the finance side of things, extremely knowledgable guy 👍
@@gribbo78 allow me to elaborate. I’ll start by saying I love both podcasts. The overlap regularly has guests that played at the highest level. The chat is often swayed towards top 4 teams and champions league teams and players. It doesn’t mean to say that other teams and players from lower teams aren’t mentioned but it’s rare. The Overlap are more likely to have A Former Man Utd, Liverpool or Arsenal legend than they are a Mark Noble or a Jimmy Bullard as an example. Whereas this podcast, they’ve already had the guy from Dorking, Jimmy and Fenners are a lot more down to earth. Both podcasts can exist in my world I’m not picking a favourite. I’m just highlighting that they’re different. It’s a glib comment, not to be taken with too much gravitas.
I have a question as I think the fitness being more important than skill or having any significant football qualities has hurt the game in a huge way especially the skill and flair side of it barely exists anymore and rarely do we see exciting players week in and week out 😢 So my question is how many football players died on the pitch before the fitness overtook the football skills compared to after the fitness became important and killed the style of football we were all used too because I think there have been more deaths since the fitness became more important Football was never about fitness lol yeah you had to have a bit about you but you didn't have to be iron man material to be able to play football Ffs 90% of us here know a handful of sunday leauge players even that are better than some players that play in the prem no matter the lower leauges 😂
@@BillyHayes79Music role play as in this whole ‘we’re starting a new football club’ thing, they’re not starting a new football club, they’re role playing it to try and add a different element so they stand out to all the other football podcast, them talking about football and telling stories is good enough, don’t need this whole creating a club thing.
@@Kugann it’s just a bit of a laugh mate, it doesn’t mean it’s woke. There’s loads of content out there for you. Sounds like it’s more likely to be on Rumble 😂

Unique …It’s so good to see something different & the chemistry is there..Legends for the common man / old skool football fan
Whatever you’ve done right or wrong the ball into Murphy in 2008 to keep us up will do for me .
Such genuine chat from JB love him

As much as I like the Overlap, it’s very elitist. This is the working man’s football pod
What does that mean? Genuinely curious not being awkward.

I agree with you, the show should have been canned when lovejoy left
Womp womp
An hour of pure waffle. Fenners is so annoying.
Don’t watch it then! Bugger off
stop this role play stuff, utter woke nonsense.
