If you get a chance watch her performance as Glastonbury on BBC iPlayer the crowd went absolutely crazy it's the longest applause I've heard for a singer in such a long time I absolutely adore Sigrid !!
I don't think she ever was popular. Sure, she had one top ten hit in UK ("Stragers"), but that isn't that much to call her 'popular'. Sadly, over these years she just stayed as 'talented' girl, didn't grow up at all, not even as a woman, not to mention music and singing which stayed the same as five years ago.
I agree with the comment above. The amount of bands using heavy use of pre recorded backing track is crazy nowadays. It's pretty awesome that nearly all of this is played live (with maybe a tiny bit on backing track)
Welcome to audio engineering in the Netherlands. Audio engineers here are DEAF. They look at meters and still don’t trust those with an exact hearing..
but hardly any Eurovision artists wrote their own songs, let alone wrote all their songs... or run a band, made albums.. toured, worked real publicity etc... so yeh superficially it's pop music and it might sound similar, but it's not the same thing
Eurovision artists don't sing live. The songs may be simple popsongs, but they are well crafted and the whole band is very good. That guitar player shreds like anybody!

Not good is the understatement of the year. It's terrible. Sigrid is a good singer and the technicians seem to be quite.. tonedeaf..
