One element of it, i think, is that they are more cinematic. Most videos on TH-cam are Talk, Talk, Talk! And not only that it's bullshit filler. Talking for the sake of talking and they try to monitize as much of it as possible. Andrews videos seem to focus on the work of the projects with him rarely stopping to talk. This video was 43 minutes and i'd be surprised if there was more than 5 minutes of talking in it. Everytime im watching a video and they start schilling I always groan and fast forward but by that point the "mood" of what was happening is broken/gone. The first 30 mins is exactly why I subscribed yrs ago-this is the Andrew Camarata and videos that I like and 👍 every time. Good stuff. In the "closing in the shed" video I thought to suggest using the open area between the shed and castle as an outdoor "self service quarter car wash" with a swiveling overhead wand. The "North Star" power washer [22:28] is a perfect fit. Adding a plumbed small enclosure next to either building to store it in with a quick connect setup on the outside of the enclosure would be great [with one connection to run to the overhead wand]. If the power washer is needed elsewhere; just disconnect it from inside the enclosure and roll it away.
This is not to whine or complain, but just so it make sens i need to tell something about myself: I am 47, mainly a computer guy, i had 5 brain surgeries over the last 27 years. it has done its damage sadly, so i have alot of headache. I cant watch a TV series episode, that last 50 mins, without i need one or 2 breaks. but yesterday i watched one of your 3h videos in one go, only did a small pause to comment on the video! Your videos are really on another level, for me at least. I love to see how you go about fixing a problem in ways i would never had dreamed would work. Your extreme hard work on the jobs alone is so crazy to me, when you then add all the work on the 9000 camera's and video editing, i feel its unfair you only have 2m subs. Still have 10+ videos i need to watch to catch up, so i am happy :D love all you do.! /salute
Andrew Those adjustable Wrenches you’re using look like Real USA Made Top Quality wrenches made back when they put real solid high tempered steel in them!!!! The ones you buy now if you break the handle off or cut it off you’ll see they’re graphite steel and not solid like the old ones you have there. Those are practically unbreakable, and some of the early years of Craftsman Tools were made with solid steel that’s why they guaranteed them for life. But nowadays most all tools are made with graphite steel and they won’t last forever like the old American and German made tools made in the early to mid 1900’s. To buy brand new tools made in USA of top quality steel now it will cost you dearly. So it’s better to find old tools at auctions, estate sales and garage/yard sales at a bargain because they’ll literally last you a lifetime.

That Hitachi always served you well I being following your channel for a good few years and I have seen how much work that excavator has done for you, is nice to give love and care.
You need a little "yard cart." get a little handcart and put a deep cycle and inverter on it. put a charger/trickle charger and an air compressor. And whenever you aren't using it for "right now" work move it to a new piece of equipment every day to trickle them batteries. Keep another battery topped off and rotate them out as needed. Or put a solar panel on it.
Hey dar Camaratski, dat air compressor IS the most quiet compressor ever. Picked one up after you mentioned it in an earlier vid. So seriously, thanks for being authentic and NOT taking the scratch from the 'HarborFreights' of the world. In contrast; the scenes where you use local sourcing on hoses etc, ya get the inside of the repair story, that's the cool stuff.
Its not comedy, its not exciting. Its just mundane day to day struggles in the life of a man who solves his own problems to the best of his abilities. I love it.
Good point, these always get neglected. Draining the oil will let you know if something is about to destroy itself in there. Look for sparkles or tiny pieces of metal.
Good much needed maintenance job, I remember a video years back you used this excavator to cut and push down trees on a hilly property and load tree trunks into your dump truck.

@@AndrewCamarata oh he only starts with this one he's seen them all. This is his morning coffee. Needs to know that the machine has had its oil change. Im a mechanic and heavy equipment operator of 10 years and automotive ase tech. This makes me very happy
The old Hitachi. I wish Andrew would educate use on putting a hydraulic thumb on that beast. But I respect the simplicity too.
Ehh, that thumb is fine.
@@AndrewCamarata Just wondering what kinda torque you were putting on that oil drain plug when you put it back on!!! Looked like you were givin it the full Monte huh?
@@AndrewCamaratawhen's the cyber truck coming?
@@warrenmichael918I just tightened them about 3/4 of a turn before they go stripped or snap. LoL. Joke. Always inspect your drain plug washer if doing your own oil change. I swear some lube shops are happy with a impact gun.
@@327JohnnySS Thats my point, AC looked like that damn drain plug owed him money!! haha
Andrew your filming and editing is on another level from most TH-camrs, it all adds to the enjoyment of watching your videos.
Great video!! Some plastic plugs and caps would save a lot of drips and spillage.
Andrew has so much equipment he could make maintenance videos for years to come! And we would all watch them!
My husband and I were so excited to see u upload another Awesome video. We love going back and watching some of your older videos they never get old! I watched your video with Levi and when u got Cody. Our dogs love watching them. I have to mute it sometimes because I think they might jump into my TV😅. We are looking forward to all your upcoming videos and are excited for you on this next project!
greetings mr. andrew; i just wanted to tell you i have been following you for years and am still thoroughly enjoying your videos. please keep up the great content and decent family rated viewing...........g
Andrew, you are a source of pride for people who don't even know you, well done my boy!
Great job Andrew👍, keep it up , please update more videos of the Hitachi EX100.
I was just gonna watch one of your older videos and you go ahead and upload a new one! Made my weekend.
As much as I love these videos it's hard for me to watch someone work without pitching in to help! I found myself clenching my teeth as you were trying to turn wrenches freeing up the hydraulic hoses! Lol
All great in the end! Thanks for posting.
He was like a surgeon with steady hands installing the hoses back on. Nice!
พิธีกร พูดเพราะชัดเจนเข้าใจง่าย ยิ้มแย้ม ขอบคุณและติดตามครับ
These machine maintenance videos are always my favourite . Nice to see you taking good care of your equipment !!!!!
Andrew!! always great to see a new upload!
In the hydraulic game one uses 60 Duro hardness up to 2500 psi and over that 90 Duro hardness. A Typical metric O- ring Fittings. Thanks for showing us in what you are doing. LOL from down under....... To cold for me where you are, but you have a nice place.
It's late here, but not so late that I don't have time to see what Andrew is up to. This is a MUST SEE video, as all of us here know!
I’ve worked with heavy equipment my whole life, born and raised on a farm. Now I’m unable to work but your channel gives lots of enjoyment and inspired me to start my own channel. rg blowers homestead thank you Andrew!
So I bought my first excavator. Takeuchi TB240 cabbed with a thumb. My new favorite toy!
Nice, good luck with it.
@@AndrewCamarata I've been having a blast fixing up my road that's been in disrepair for 15+ years (private road). Finally able to put in proper ditches, culverts and order material to fill in bad spots. Road went from 4wd only access to corvette accessible!
Jellyyyy
Andrew you have the best videos on TH-cam educational & entertaining at the same time . Thank you!
I miss Levi, he was a good puppers
11:23 Very clever adding the extra colored zip tie so the new hose gets the same color tie.
Thanks
I love what you did with the garage! Looks so tough!
Why can we no longer see your early videos?
Thanks for the video!
It's great to see someone doing preventative maintenance, the amount of guys who leave hoses until they blow is insane, because we all know that a hose will blow at the most inconvenient time and in the most inconvenient place. It doesn't save you any money by trying to stretch out their lives, because you end up chasing your ass trying to get them fixed when you are miles away from the shop.
Great video as always. Good to see the Hitachi getting maintenance and to see it running well. Editing is perfect as always and just when I think things are getting a little boring, it speeds up or changes to something else.
I could watch Andrew just doing random jobs every day it's just love at first sight. I can't sit still for anything on TH-cam but these videos just seem to keep the super short attention that I have busy.
I always enjoy seeing you and the boys. That closed in building looks great.
Your attention to detail is to be admired a lot of people would have just changed those hydraulic hoses and never thought about those O-rings that just shows how much you care about your equipment and watching you blow everything out before you even get it going that says a lot about how you take care of your stuff and how you take care of yourself thank you for another awesome video
Need to set up some trickle chargers for the machines that sit. Issue is that in a lot of equipment the alternator constantly draws a small amount of current even when its off. A 1AMP chargers will keep the batteries topped off. Perhaps run some buried power lines around the parking area to plug in the chargers.
Thanks for Posting!
I think he needs to sell some kit, so there is less but used frequently, does seem some of the machines sit around alot
@@Ethan-bj6el He pretty much uses all of the the equipment he owns. Need smaller machines for small jobs which you don't have the room for a bigger machine.
New building looks great. I’m enjoying your maintenance/repair videos a lot more than shopping vids. Thanks
No matter what tool or equipment is needed, Andrew has it. Need a man lift, coming up!!
I'll never get enough of this guy!
Most of us watching have done this type of work!
Keep it up! We love it!!!
@@kirk4086 thanks
Andrew is easily one of the best mechanics I’ve ever seen, love the dogs!
Awesome an old hitachi video. I almost figured you was never going to run her again after all the newer toys. Remember your roots and what brung you for sure. Always thought it was funny when you operated it the door would come open in the back. Surprised you didn't fix it in the video also.
I spotted the legend himself in Burlington during sunset yesterday. Two awesome labs in tow as well. I wonder if anyone else recognized you? Enjoy the eclipse!
I’m still here. You’re welcome to say hi.
@@AndrewCamarata I’m climbing a summit for the eclipse. 4k feet or bust!
That was worth it.
Andrew, i've been rewatching all of your videos lately and man oh man can i see the evolution in not only your mechanical skills and work, but mostly your camera/drone skills. Amazing video once again i can't wait to see what you have in store for us next! Cheers from Québec, Canada.
Nice!!! Love that old hitachi!!
The castle compound is looking good.
It's good you don't talk a lot. Most people hate too much talking in youtube vids. Good job!
This are high pressure O-rings. They are not from Hobo-Fright.
I don't buy anything for that place there tools are cheap and made in China.
Thank you for sharing, another great job, i learn a lot, always a pleasure watch your project, thank a lot 👍👍👍👍
another 45 minute banger on a saturday night
This is not to whine or complain, but just so it make sens i need to tell something about myself: I am 47, mainly a computer guy, i had 5 brain surgeries over the last 27 years. it has done its damage sadly, so i have alot of headache. But one thing that always make me forget about my problems are your videos.
Excelente video Andrew. Disfruto viendo como mantienes estas máquinas. Saludos desde Santiago de Chile.
Einstein said "Give me a long enough stick, and a place to stand, and I can move the world." Or in your case, a tricky hydraulic line. Nice time to have a boom handy. Your buildings look amazing!👍
That Hitachi always served you well I being following your channel for a good few years and I have seen how much work that excavator has done for you, is nice to give love and care.
Thanks Andrew for posting!
This one and the old Yanmar (in the garage). Best content ever - someone still remembers building that bridge!?
Hey Andrew I miss your videos when are you going to put any more up

Its not comedy, its not exciting. Its just mundane day to day struggles in the life of a man who solves his own problems to the best of his abilities. I love it.

Yeah, reminds me of my best bud and this cute new blond girl in 10th grade 😍
The reason why Andrews videos are so awesome, is because he doesn't say much.
Like most wise men he speaks when it's important
Did you check the gear oil levels of the final drives? Thanks for sharing.
Just finished watching Matt from Pacific Northwest hillbilly wrenching on his EX120-2’s engine
Man I really enjoy watching your videos on TH-cam just want to thank you for sharing your life with us Thank You
