One of the all time classic board games. Of course I have to do it! And this is arguably one of the best versions of the game so far. Thanks for watching along!
Axis and Allies! Cool! I have an eighties copy I've played a bazillion times. I have the Europe and the Pacific combinable massive ones and never played it! I should try to make that happen someday.. Have you played Conquest of Nerath? It is very much Axis And Allies with a Dungeons and Dragons theme + a side dish of dungeon crawling for magic items and a unique deck of cards for each faction, I've only played it a couple of times but I enjoy it as well. There is a G.I.Joe Axis and Allies out now: Battle for the North Pole - I'm considering it.
@@XHuntinatorX It's fun! Dragons instead of planes. Water elementals that works both on land and sea. The wizards have a first strike ability like a land version of the submarines in A&A. Nerath (humans and dwarfs), Vailin (seagoing elves), Karchoth (Undead) and The Iron Circle (orcs). The elves have bonuses in their card deck for ships, The Undead can raise troops from battles they been part of with the cards in their card deck etc. It has probably been out of print for 10-13 years though.
I've decided not to play with National Objectives or Tech Breakthroughs. I'm only using two optional rules. Fighter Escorts, and no passage between sea zone 15 and 16. Thanks for watching along!
The Africa campaign kinda nerfed any hope for Germany already! Ha ha. But, there is always my dice rolling, which is very unpredictable in coming episodes!
So no solo variant just playing all sides? I guess a solo variant would necessitate the obligatory “Flow Charts” Uuugh!!! I’m getting flashbacks from soloing “Fire in the Lake” Lol.
Just playing all sides. Also, just wanted to showcase this awesome game on my channel. It's best played on a rainy Saturday with friends! Ha ha. Thanks for watching along!
Well, you managed to make a game, I really don't enjoy seem...pretty good. Aside from dice-based "strategy", I just don't like games where the pieces don't fit on the board. I'm looking at you War of the Ring and the new HeroQuest. Give me a game with stackable tokens with beautiful artwork and I'm happy.
In fairness to this game it does come with stackable chips to put under the units. I'm choosing to put as many units on the board as I can because I have double the units from adding in the 1942 version of units as well . . . so, yeah. And then there is Cthulhu Death May Die . . . talk about not fitting in the board spaces! Ha ha. Thanks for watching along!
Hi, great video but I would like to point out that you have confused a British cruiser with a transport. Then I recommend you do some calculations before attacking headlong, for example: three infantry and three fighter planes add up to twelve for the attack, which divided by six optimistically provides two probable hits, five infantry and one artillery also add up to twelve with two probable hits of the defenders, so it was predictable that the Karelia would not fall after exhausting the German infantry, even without taking into account the anti-aircraft. Only in the last days Hitler was commanding non-existent divisions from the bunker!
I do only play this game for fun, so doing all the math on every attack and the probabilities would just seem like work to me and un-fun. There are experts out there that know every statistic and every perfect move and every great strategy for this game . . . I'm, as I think I mentioned, am not one of them! Ha ha! I appreciate you comment though, don't get me wrong, and thanks for watching along! I do mention later in the series about the British cruiser/transport mix-up. Damn my old eyes!
'I will not use sea regions 15 and 16'. *proceeds to use sea region 15 immediately* Then the relief at the end when you fix it. Haha, classic Paul.
Thanks for sharing with us!! Nice video. I'm sure I'll be watching all the episodes. Thanks from Brazil!!
I hope you enjoy the series, and thanks for watching along!
I haven't broken out this game in almost 30 years. Oh, the memories. Can't wait to see the outcome.
Still a fun WWII beer and pretzels game. Used to play this in University all the time, many many a year ago!
looks a good play through
11:00 Hmm, I guess this is the timeline where Rommel was replaced with Goering, LOL
Can’t be,I’ve your doing this…..can’t believe your doing this! Awesome! Oh yeah, let’s go!

Yeah, I've done Conquest of Nerath right here already. I do like it quite a bit. I think I'll skip the GI Joe one though.
Conquest of Nerath? I haven’t heard of it but it sounds amazing!

You missed the five IPCs Germany receives for its national objective

I’d sue for peace. The German side seems to have telescoped the entire war, achieving a state in 1941 more like late 1944.

I think your sub hit and sunk the British ships in your second sea battle, by Gibraltar?
Yup, fixed end of episode. Thanks for the catch, and thanks for watching along!
