Personally, I am driving my W201 2.0D 1985, I drive on the 140-160 highway and I get very angry when someone is driving in the left lane, at a lower speed, and does not give way. Bei dem alten Mercedes Unimog 437 auf der Arbeit will das Getriebe auch manchmal nicht so recht. Das sieht dann von aussen vielleicht brutal aus, aber was willste machen? Alle die ich bis jetzt darauf angelernt habe haben auch blöd geschaut wenn mal geknarzt hat oder beim runterschalten der Gang ohne Zwischengas trotz Synchrongetriebe nicht rein wollte, bis sie halt selbst mal in diese Situation kamen.
Göttlich ist immer wenn die neuen das erste mal die Kupplung treten müssen, bzw. ruckelfrei anfahren wollen.
Zurück zu dem Video. Ich hatte mal einen BMW E46. Bei dem wars auch manchmal so, dass der 5. Gang nicht rein wollte, bzw. wieder rausgesprungen ist. Na und? Fährt doch- so flilligran ist das nun auch nicht gebaut dass das sofort danach auseinanderfällt.

Im Grunde hast Du schon recht. Allerdings macht das diesem alten Mercedes nichts aus, wenn man ihm mal die Sporen gibt, solange man das nicht ständig macht. Dieser gute alte Mercedes hat noch die robusten Diesel-Maschinen verbaut. Die sind nahezu unzerstörbar und können eine Gesamtlaufleistung von einer Million Kilometer erreichen. Diese Fahrzeuge waren noch von echter Qualität deutscher Ingenieurskunst, robust und zuverlässig. Der betagte Bursche hier nimmt also keinen Schaden, wenn man ihn mal tritt. Bei dem heutigen optischen Einheitsbrei, egal welcher Marke, vollgestopft mit unsinnigen elektronischen Helferlein und in der deutschen Lieblingsbauweise eines hochmotorisierten, benzinfressenden und besonders umweltbelastenden Zwei-Tonnen-Asphaltpanzers, SUV genannt, werden solche stolzen Kilometerleistungen nicht zu erwarten sein. Da spielt schon die verbaute Billigelektronik aus Fernost nicht mit ...

Was mich allerdings an solchen Aussagen nervt ist, dass mittlerweile alle glauben, die Dieselmototen OM601, 602 und 603 sind unzerstörbar und erreichen problemlos die 1.000.000km. Und das ist schlicht falsch. Sie verzeihen schon recht viel, aber längst nicht alles. Auch ein robuster OM601 wie dieser hier verzeiht nicht alles. Gute Wartung, Regelmäßige Ölwechsel und ausgiebiges Warmfahren vorausgesetzt kann man dem Motor auch mal Vollgasfahrten und hohe Drehzahlen zumuten. Aber eben auch nur dann.

That is quite amazing cruising at almost 160 kmh with only 72 bhp propelling the big wagon. I have the utmost respect and admiration for old Mercedes - how well built and engineered they are to perform so reliably and admirably after all this time. Must feel a bit strange to be holding such a big steering wheel inside a passenger car, though. LOL! Great video & great car!

Not only that. Such large and thin steering wheels are really comfy when driving on highways. It's a shame they're non existent these days.
We had a 250D 5 cil. 4 speed automatic when I was a kid. It wasn't fast in any way. But it felt effortless and unstoppable. We would cruise to Spain at a constant 160 / 170km/h, with only two tanks of diesel. I learned to drive in that car, when I was about 13 years old. 😆

Wie sich jeder drüber auskotzt dass Marius so brutal fährt hahah😅 kann ich zwar echt verstehen dass das nicht so gut ist wenn's nicht das eigene Auto ist aber ganz ehrlich das ist n alter Benz der kann das ab ... Ich fahr mit meinem genauso hahah und ausser dem Generator ist noch nie was kaputt gegangen... Einfach immer fleißig Ölwechsel machen und nicht mit kaltem Motor drücken dann passt das schon.

Ohne Witz. Kann mich nur den Kommentaren anschließen. Anscheinend können manche nur Sportwagen mit Automatik fahren und dann reintreten und angeben. Gefühl für nostalgisches oder wie mit anderen Dingen umgegangen werden soll, Fehlanzeige. Kam leider schon öfters bei anderen Autos vor, die leider keine superteuren Sportwagen waren.

Ah Erinnerungen, ich hatte einen, aber es war kein Van, sondern ein Taxi (deutsch). Es war mit 4 Geschwindigkeiten. Sein zweiter Motor war über 500.000 km. Ich musste es wegen des Rosts verschrotten. Sehr lustiges Auto.😁👍

I disagree with the comments about the agressive shifting. Sure it's not my gear change of choice, and seems to be unnecessarily agressive. However, it won't damage this car at all. It's an 80s Mercedes diesel. It would survive a nuclear blast
