With fast food it's important to remember that a fast food places quality genuinely changes country by country. Like people talk mad shit about subway in America and apparently it's genuinely bad but in the UK it's a decent place to get a sandwich. One factor in this is the price where in America they charged $5 for a footlong back in the day and in the UK it cost £5. The conversion rate at this time was like 1.6 us dollars to a pound, so we were literally paying 1.6 times the price. What this meant is we ended up with better ingredients for our overpriced sandwiches
It's crazy that Amica (which is a polish company) house appliances are the most popular in some countries but they aren't in Poland itself. My whole life I didn't even know they were a polish company

I'm pretty sure that the reason why brand's are so interesting down in Antarctica is that it's mostly just environmental scientists down there for like 6 months at a time or some shit. I'm actually surprised they have data on a non permanent population

Im guessing it's only global brands on the list, so more local brands are not going to show up. In that case it would be Hesburger that is the most popular fast food brand in Finland, not McDonald's. Pretty sure MD even operated on a loss in Finland at some point (could still be the case, but doubt it).
I live in South Africa and I've never heard of smeg for household appliances, I can also guarantee you if you ask anyone from here they won't know what that is, the most popular brands here are defy, LG and Samsung from what I've seen in stock at stores and in general, bosch is also quite prevalent here, only if you're super rich you're gonna buy a toaster for that much and i can guarantee you most of us arem't
I can actually explain the Vatican one. There is a guy from Switzerland who is infamous in the networking community for having registered an "ASN" (basically a number that identifies ISPs) that used the country code of the Vatican. And for the longest time, until it was changed to the correct country code, he was the only non-Vatican ISP in the Vatican. And that guy... he loves Mass Effect.

People dont know about Bosch? Theyre a giant mixed-industry company like Siemens, Samsung or Hyundai, the biggest car parts manufacturer in the world and have a really interesting ownership/management structure.

This does not consider local brands. Here in Greece there are like no McDonald's ,but it was first because everything else is local.
Latin Americans have Nike and Adidas as their biggest fashion brands probably because it is really popular to use your favorite football team's shirt as common street wear.
Also it's become increasingly popular to wear expensive sneakers (similar to sneaker culture in the US).
So sport brands are the biggest, and Nike and Adidas are the main two here.

A lot of popular fast food chains don't do well in south east Asia due to their abundance and prevalence of cheap street food stalls. Why go to McDonalds and feel sick 20 minutes later when you can eat a home cooked meal for the same price. Either that or they use a lot of MSG in those spices. That region loves MSG. I know chick fil'a puts tons in their fried chicken.
