- 18 years ago, Roger Federer & his wife Miroslava Vavrinec "Mirka" played together against Lleyton Hewitt and Alicia Molik in a match that witnessed some of the cutest moments between Roger and Mirka who was his girlfriend back at the time.

It's nice to see that she would give up on her career to help support her future husband's career a hundred percent. And also I read somewhere her decision to retire early was also that she suffered with multiple injuries very early on in her career and that's why her body gave up on her so instead she chose to travel with him and be by his side. That says a lot about her character as the unsaid force behind Roger.

Mirka retired not long after due to a foot injury but became Roger's no.1 fan as his career took off.

This has to be put in context! Roger Federer was barely 18 and Mirka was a few years older. They met at the 2000 Olympics and they obviously developed a serious Chemistry going forward..Great story and two times identical twins later going forward!

So miss the Hopman Cup in Perth. It was killed off by Tennis Australia, and was a more leisurely and fun way for players to adjust to the dreadful heat of the Australian summer. One of the last matches had Serena Williams serving to Roger Federer, it was incredible. And the diamond-encrusted tennis ball trophies were so sweet.

I only know Ms. Federer-Vavrinec from this video and from Wikipedia, but according to that she is apparently a very likeable (and pretty) person (like Mr. Federer), and at the age of 18 back then Roger Federer was just as little a big earner as his later wife, so that the gold digger status can probably be ruled out for both of them, but according to this video the two were simply totally in love with each other (and probably or hopefully still get along very well with each other today).
It is of course also a very nice coincidence that the two got two twin daughters in 2009 and two twin sons in 2014.
I see beautiful love in both of their eyes so this is really a beginning of sweet love story 💓💓

You see people falling in love, but most of them break up after 2-3 years, or even sooner, what we see here is a true love story of two love birds that sticked together for 25 plus years and they still love each other like in the first day. What's even sweeter is that, when Mirka retired, she did not to sit at home and watch her man play on TV, but went with him everywhere and stood by his side through bad and good, and welcomed 4 beautiful babies with the love of her life. Now THAT's the kind of woman I love and respect! I love them both so much! As I write this comment, I am still trying not to cry. My neck hurts.
