Can you rotate the steps to either side so when ascending the tree you can make sure your last step in the the correct position with your stand or platform? Looking at it, it appears they only open to one side.
very cool. it just needs a locking pin to keep the scissors together. A cross brace from the step on the bottom to the first section above it would force the section tighter when stepping on that step.
Thanks for the review, a folding stick could be a good alternative to a rope-aider for getting a few extra feet up the tree. The folding sticks look like they can fit in a hunting pack. Unfortunately the PRICE is a major turn off, if they come down to reality with the cost i bet more people would try them.
When they make a double stick I’ll be interested but until then that’s a shame. Great review
Why not make it a double step?
If they made a double step, I'd buy one, but until then, I'll pass.

Yes they are machined to only be on one side.

Gotta tell exact weight and dimensions on a review
The step forces the stick to stay open. As soon as you step down on it, it physically cannot close down on you!
@zacharyrau Yes, I get that, but a pin would lock it in place so it isn't opening a little and then closing back, making a pop noise.

Silent strips in the cracks will eliminate that click
Thats one thing I forgot to mention. Probably an easy fix.
@@bpwhitetails cool sticks tho I use beast sticks lol.
If people worried more about hunting deer than climbing trees they would probably kill bucks
I’ve got two big buck kills dropping here in a couple weeks!lol
