Great vlog Danny. If you are thinking of trying AKBAR'S. The very first one is a tiny place on Leeds rd in Bradford. Not as commercial. I'm sure you know. 👍
Hi Danny you must try Hennighan's fish and chip top shop. It's in a little town called Machynlleth in Wales, the best and freshest fish and chips weve eaten!
Id be interested in seeing your ratings when separated into pricing for portion, taste, and i'd like to say presentation but i don't know whether i feel like that'd be an important area
This wouldn't be somewhere I'd go - have you tried Northern Soul Grilled Cheese? Absolutely delicious grilled cheese sandwiches in Manchester. Genuinely amazing. You've got to try it!
That water is almost $4 U.S. Wow, That's a lot even in Hawaii. A "Duke's", 1/2lb cheeseburger and fries is $21 U.S. + lots of tax.. That's pretty steep... Peace, Love and Aloha from Waikiki
Don't know Manchester prices but must be like Toronto over here, frakkin expensive. Do have to say 3 pounds for a water seems a wee bit dear to me. The food isn't to badly priced for what am use to, pay $10 dollars Canadian for a McDeaths burger and a quality burger is $15+ here in Ontario.
Good one Danny, don' t 100% understand your revulsion to sweet corn.. I love sweet corn, especially steamed heirloom white corn variety called "Silver queen" which is grown here in SE Pennsylvania .. @@DEAJP10 Its nothing more than city centre overpriced shit. Go to the outskirts its a bargain for takeaway food. I just got a ten inch pizza loads of toppings for £6.90 ! South of Manchester.
From the online menu posted 10 months ago vs the current one it would seem the 2 Pattie burger has gone up from £8.50 to £10.50 & the quad Pattie burger has gone from £10.50 to £14.50. That’s 23.53% inflation for the dual Pattie & 38.1% inflation for the quad Pattie in under a year. The other items are at the same prices.
Big Licks might be expensive for Joe Public but not for our Danny. 5:20 server prints off receipt and hands it over before telling Danny to put his phone next to the paying machine and pretend 😂. Perks of the job 👍

I'm not sure if what you call sweet corn is Niblets: which is as if you picked all the corn straight off a corn cob (which I like): or what I hate, which is called creamed corn which is the same stuff but in a very distasteful cream sauce.
Yes, the first one. Corn kernels removed from the cob, and then often tinned in brine from supermarkets. Although creamed corn the product still contains sweet corn as an ingredient too, although partly mushed up. I'm not sure whether all corn kernels are classed as sweet corn though, or whether Danny just uses that as an expression. I have seen tins of corn kernels called 'super' sweet corn, as in being a particularly sweet variety of corn grown to be sweeter than usual.
Last video at Gooeys, the other side of the city centre, you paid £13-odd for a beef sub roll and £11-odd for a wedge of French toast… and you’re complaining about THESE prices at Big Licks at £10.50 each??!! Big Licks is much better value. There’s not much consistency in your pricing standards.
Hi Danny, just a thought… why not go into the actual restaurant and sit inside (where possible) to give a complete review - not just the food, the service, the ambiance etc. Also… why not get every takeaway/restaurant you go to, to sign the name onto the table. When the table is full of signatures, auction for charity then repeat? Love the videos btw
Tbh the table idea conflicts with the first idea you have! However, I love the idea of his table being signed by each place he goes, makes a good gimmick outta it!!

“A bit pricey” it certainly is. Prices in Manchester have gone through the roof ever since the BBC moved there too many people with too much money
A guy reviewing places we will never ever visit. Interesting concept.
I'm a 75 year old from the US. I know I'll never get to visit these places, but Danny makes the show more than worth my time. "To be honest"
Why would we never visit them?
Dumb comment. Also replace "we" with "I", you don't speak for all of us. People who watch and live nearby might go to the place 🙄
He says, come down to this place, comment on what you think. Sometimes people have suggested that he tries it out. Doesn't like spicy hot for sure.
