Developer here: Stationfall actively encourages you to mess with other players. Some characters (like Stranger) are purposely capped point wise with the intention that they need to prevent other players from scoring points. The asymmetric point caps are a common complaint because players don’t think to or don’t want to interfere with other players, but it’s a major part of the game. Also, though the chaos does increase at higher player counts, so does your chance of winning. At 6p your chance of winning doubles, and at 9p your chance of winning triples, so it’s not a crap shoot.
Thats what I was also guessing. Thanks for clarifying. Also, a big congratulation for inventing this game, Andy! It is the most creative board game I ever played and one of my favourite ones of all time!
This was a great stream to watch. I think Martin F voiced my concerns well; the chaos combined with a long game and long teach make this hard to get to the table. My group skews to medium and light games, and often, I find there are games I want to like more than I actually enjoy playing with my group. This is similar to Oath which shares the same limited action, kingmaking, and lack of control (card draw). Since I cannot get my group to play these, I get great joy out of watching them streamed. Thanks so much for making this video. Thumbs up!
Thanks for the game! Thanks Martin F. for showing the downside of this game and discussing it, that's really illuminating. It's sometimes hard to get games that everyone in the group enjoys - and even though it's not fun to see somebody space out at the table for several hours or doing it, (nor should it be a goal of the channel) but Its really helpful for us here trying to figure out, hey is this a game for my group or not? as the hype of showcasing the cool thing can sometimes just be overpowering.
This is a great game and engaging play to watch! I love heavy euros and I love to pivot into chaos as well. This is the "party game" I was looking for. The game obviously wasn't for Martin , but it definitely works for my group. This is a very unique puzzle given that you must have contingency plans for everything and cannot predict every other person's choices. It makes for some awesome complexity (much like life 🙂). Lastly, it's tough to beat the narrative you build with your friends as this game unfolds...
Keep track of the abilities of 15 different characters, and the board, and victory conditions…dont think i would enjoy playing this nearly as much as i do watching it!
Seems like reference 3.6.1 makes a distinction between unused and possessed bribes. Therefore the double scoring of the “possessed” bribes for some characters would not include their original unused bribe.
@@tinstargames reading comprehension. You can compete in a team, against other players. If all those players are bots, then you are playing coop. Or how exactly do you define coop?
So at 3:37:00 can Edward activate Inspector? I mean if we're following the turn order isn't he supposed to activate first and then Bribe? So he wouldn't be able to activate the Inspector because they were still downed. Or am I missing something?
Great play through! I think Medical is cool to have in the game, but can be one of the least interesting characters to have as a PC. Billionaire and Legal are my favs, but there are still a lot of characters I haven’t played. So much to explore and experiment with!
Medical is fun because you are motivated to play God (the dossier even says as much). When you reveal you get a bludgeon so just start hitting people and reviving them.
I don't agree with the point that you cannot plan your turn, here. You always have one or two things that are beneficial to you, more than any other goal. And you can always focus on this one sector. When your turn nears, you can just look two sectors in a radius to see which character to activate in order to complete that goal the fastest. You should never have to wait more than 30 seconds per player around the table.
12.5.3: Characters can Throw to Outer Space only by using the Airlock Section Action. (There are still not items- (unless they are the rat, which is (but isn't allowed to be thrown out of the airlock because of it's "My Precious" Reveal Power))).
Both things can be a bad trait in games: * So much chaos that you have to replan a tactical move without any strategy every time the turn gets around to you (like Munchkin) * So multiplayer solitaire that all you are doing when it's not your turn is to wait for the others to execute their engine. Good games avoid both.

@@Overlordsen Thank you, though to be clear I'm the developer, Matt Eklund is the designer.
If 6 players, don’t 2 players win? Great playthrough.
This was one of your most entertaining videos. I usually only watch parts of these videos, but I got stuck watching this whole video
Late to this vid. Very entertaining.
Thank you for the play through! A lot of fun to watch and hoping it is a lot of fun to play.

I thought this looks great.... maybe....
Thoroughly enjoyed watching. Don't think I would enjoy playing as much (I prefer less chaos), but a great watch.

I see an ION game, i watch and like. Played 2 full games of HF4all modules 0-2 last year and plan to play with module 3 this year.

The Wizard of Speed and Time Tshirt!
Brilliant game!

The unused bribe belongs to a PLAYER, not to a character. 2.5 - 16.4.6
@@brachson agreed, thanks for clarifying.
I hope they sell the license of this to make a movie.
I wonder if this could be coop…I love the different roles
You can play this coop either in teams, or against bots.
@@Jawsofhana teams isnt coop

Player vs environment is coop. Environment can be a broken ship, resource management or event management. But that's not this game

You can use kompromat or bribe before you activate someone.

As someone who has only seen your Sidereal Confluence playthrough before (convinced me to get the game BTW, thank you!), what is a "Glory To Rome"?

Throwing the Medical out the airlock was done with which action please? :)
Throwing an item is one of the available action.
