Tracy and Jim seen you made it to Lolo Hot springs. My wife and I had the same issues you did . I commented a week or so that I use to work on a wheat , canola, barley farm . We live in Grangeville Idaho about 3 12 hours from Lolo. If you ever get this way look us up . I’ve been here all my life you ask one of the local merchants they will get you in touch with us . Have a great vacation the pictures look great.
Wonderful scenery on your trip. Looks like Jim got a new red shirt. Looking good sir! Glad you have time for a little side trip on the way. God bless you both with good health and safe travels
Greetings to Tracey and Jim!!!! Missed you folks the last couple of days. Thanks for this wonderful video. Wonderful to watch, very enjoyable!!!!!!! How nice you are taking this side trip. Just great!!!!!! Beautiful country you are traveling through. Absolutely love these small towns you are traveling through. Just like exploring new country!!!!!! Loved the cattle drive you got invited in. They just used the highway like they owned it. How neat was that. Unusual as to what we are used to. The Iowa highway patrol would have them locked up/ha!!!!!!! Neat experience!!!!!!! Your hotel rooms are really neat. The old real log cabin experience. Sorry the first one was not up to standard. It appears their standard and ours is different-ha!!!!!!! Like the fireplace in the second one. Can’t thank you and Jim enough for taking us along through the Montana country. Has been so relaxing and peaceful. Looking forward to the next episode!!!!!!! Missed you, glad to see you both again. You take care traveling and most of all ENJOY!!!!!!!! The Iowa farm boy. Steve. 😊😊👍👋🙏❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸
Nice video, Tracy, Jim should’ve got out of the truck talk to the cattle and told him how to be ornery and grumpy like he is you guys enjoy your trip. Be safe from Wisconsin.
Thanks for sharing your road trip. We always have enjoyed our travels around this beautiful country and look forward to more of your trip as well as more for us.😊👍
Thank You on the days I had time to watch, I really enjoyed your videos. We finished the day after you, and now I go back to being retired. I am calling this year fast and furious. Enjoy your vacation, take care and see you next year.
So lovely to see you both enjoying a few days away and also nice to know what the hotels are like your stopping in good things and bad things hope you both have loads of fun and catch you again tomorrow
Tracy so glad you and Jim are able to get a bit of a vacation in before the NE harvest starts. I have never seen you kids get delayed by a cattle drive right up the middle of the road! It was funny to see the real close-up Jim toward the end of the video!
my wife and i stopped in lolo last july and ate at the bar and restrante the food was good, lolo is a snowmobile hot spot we drove a few miles south and drove are truck up elk mt pass that really awsome with all the tall pine trees its just breath taking up thier.
Oh Traci, this brought back so many memories that I cried. Seeing you video your travels and the mountains reminded me of our recent trip my husband and I took the end of April and first of May to see the 5 national parks in Utah. We stayed in Pagosa Springs, Co and went to the hot springs there. Our room in Moab, UT looked very similar to the lodge but it was nice and had tv and WiFi. We stayed in several hotels as well, most of them very nice. We did get a bad one where we stayed in a cabin in an rv park and realized no tv and no shower!!! We only stayed there one night and I booked us in Tropic, Ut in a room with a shower and tv!!! Seeing Jim driving made me think of my husband doing all the driving while I videoed everything too. His name was Jimmie. Thankfully I can hear him talking in some of them. We looked at all the parks and drove down the sides of mountains with no guardrails, which was scary. Sadly the last night of our trip we were staying in Amarillo, TX at the Big Texan Motel and he had a massive heart attack and passed away. I was devastated to say the least. He would have been 73 4 days later. I am so thankful I did the videos and I go back occasionally and watch them and hear his voice. Treasure these trips and times with your husband and thank you for taking us along on your adventures. You are such a good storyteller and have such a pleasant voice to listen to. I look forward to Part 2?
Ohhhhhhh, this broke my heart!!!!! I’m so very sorry to hear how your story ends. I never expected that I would read what I read. If you ever just need someone to “talk” to, please email me at zcrew82@gmail.com. I hope your travels aren’t over. I bet your Jimmie wouldn’t want you to quit living. It just will be more difficult without him. Hugs to you!! BIG TIME!
@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking thank you!!, I just might do that. And no, they won't end. I am the traveler, more so than him. He was a homebody. I've got trips already planned.
@@okiecubsfan1961 GOOD FOR YOU!!!! I am also the one with the gypsy blood flowing in me. It will be difficult getting home and knowing there’s no big trips ahead of me. Hard to remain home after about two weeks.
👍❤ Yes, I definitely enjoyed this traveling road trip video. Fun. Bozeman has great hot springs center if you are ever down that way. You came pretty close to my neck of the woods...Garrison, just a cross roads....but you went thru Anaconda and Phillipburgh not far from us. Thanks for the post. Enjoy your time off, you both worked hard thru this past month, glad to see you relax.
Beautiful scenery !!! I just bought a Dodge pickup with a Cummins. The cummins seems to be the favorite of mountain state drivers and welders. It's about the torque !!
Great video, beautiful landscapes! It must be fun to relax after hard work on the farm! Really great your rother and his son visited you. Florida is a long way from Alaska, amazing but it must be fun for Caleb to travel with his dad. It is great to see other parts of Montana, so many trees and hills. Lots of greetings from the Netherlands.
Sounds like Mark and Caleb had a great adventure. Caleb is now on Kodiak Island and Mark is on his way back to Florida via an airplane. I’m so jealous of their two week journey!!!
Our getaway stomping grounds, what an awesome area. Coming from Washington through Thompsons falls and points beyond. Got a new baby to squeeze while there and the chainsaw artists in Libby Coming up in September. We plan on going being there for it all. Enjoy your trip and prayers for safe travels.
Thank you for sharing once again, that is really beautiful countryside you are travelling through. Hope you have a wonderful time and I watch enviously from Ireland 🇮🇪
In 2021, after watching your harvest videos, we had to see the beauty of Montana too. We also went to Philipsburg but instead of searching for sapphires, we bought ready made necklaces for our granddaughters. Toured the City Below the Streets in Havre, Montana. Saw mountain goats on the rocks close to Great Falls. Years before, our son worked on the guidance in Jim’s combine in Kansas and you had him in the video. We are farmers in Kansas and your harvest videos are the best!
This is great fun to hear. I’m going to ask Jim if he remembers. I’m certain he will because I remember him telling me how good he was. Thank you for sharing this!!
I like your travels as much as the harvest, even done some of the same things you have done (Branson Mo. last year). this trip is getting close to our place just SW of West Yellowstone.
Well let's just say Alaska is in a whole different realm than anyplace I've ever lived! Kodiak Island is like it's own country! You have to take a 12 hour ferry ride from the end of the road in Homer or fly. I've had buddies of mine work there at the firehouse on the coast guard base and think one is still there. Being there for three years he will love the fishing and hunting and scenery. Who knows, we may even see him on an episode of Deadliest Catch. Glad you both got some much needed vacation but by the looks of it I think Jim might be happier in a combine than sightseeing 😂 but know youre both havingfun spending time together! I stayed at a dump in West Yellowstone in June for $240 a night and your room was twice as big as ours was and there wasn't a hot tub! Safe travels from Arizona 😎
I hope Caleb has an amazing experience on Kodiak Island. His great grandma (my grandma) always wanted to experience Alaska and never got to. I’d love to go to be able to do it for her. Maybe within the next three years, it could happen. Thanks for your note!!
You kids have found your way to our very favorite part of Montana--the Big Hole, Pioneer Mountains, and Dillon (I assume you've been through Dillon by now--if not, be sure to grab a meal at the Taco Bus). A longtime visitor to the area--first in 1978 and more than a dozen times since then, we've visited Jackson Hot Spring and nearby Elkhorn Hot Spring many times. I hope your stay in Jackson was enjoyable. If it was, please don't tell anybody else how nice it is. Unfortunately, I've read of a load of complaints about the lodging at Lolo Hot Spring, so don't feel singled out. Y'all might like a night or two at Spa Motel in White Sulphur Springs on your way back to or as you head out of Highwood. Nice rooms, unlimited access to the hot spring pools, good restaurants and fun bars just a block or three up Main Street from the motel. Looking forward to following your now familiar route back to Nebraska.
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking Too bad the single cutting of hay there in the Big Hole coincides with the wheat harvest at the Bahnmiller's magnificent farm at Highwood. A small handful of Big Hole ranchers still use the beaverslide stacker, mostly for nostalgic and demonstration purposes nowadays, and in the case of the Hirschys just north of Jackson, as an excuse for a family reunion. There are some videos on TH-cam of beaverslide operations including one featuring the Hirschy family. The Jackson Hot Springs pool and bar/restaurant are a fun place to hang out with the locals and haying crews on Saturday nights in mid- to late July. Best of luck with the Fall harvest there in Nebraska. We'll be watching!
Awesome video, Tracey. Even if it wasn't from the combine. Beautiful scenery. I've driven the same road you are taking. Ate at the Montana Steakhouse in LoLo. Great steak. We stayed at the Bunkhouse Hotel on a snowmobile trip a few years back. Four guys, so we got a Bunkhouse style room. It was surprisingly pretty nice. We enjoyed it. I'm surprised those cattle went around you as well as they did. There is nothing dumber than a bunch of yearling heifers!
