You know, some time ago I would habe thought this is pretty out there. But then I did encounter an entity through psychedelic work and I later stumbled upon IFS which gave me a framework to make sense of all this.
Now, it has only been just over a month, but I have developed meditations to dialogue with those parts and learn about them. It has been a fantastic experience.
My view of meditation has changed completely. Instead of trying to ‘quiet’ my inner dialogue I deliberately invite parts to come forward with how they feel and what they need. And instead of just sitting there, frustrated with myself about being unable to calm my thoughts, the fact that those parts are heard creates that calm and quiet. It is beautiful, really.
So I’d recommend Schwartz’s book ‘No bad parts’ to anyone who, after years of therapy, can eloquently describe what is wrong with them without having been able to get better in a meaningful way.

Thank you for the book suggestion. Sam Harris' "Waking Up" has significantly aided my spiritual practice, yet I've been exploring ways to incorporate "doing" alongside "being." It's been quite the journey, melding various aspects of my spiritual exploration... to include psychedelics. For the first time in over thirty years, I'm attending church, ... quite the trip, indeed! And that pun was fully intended.
I once thought I had moved beyond my Mormon upbringing, but now, as my parents discover my attendance at a Christian church, they've launched into full opposition. They'd prefer me as a meditating Buddhist, embarking on retreats to cultivate loving-kindness, rather than see me enter any church not affiliated with the LDS. So, yes, engaging in conversations with the part of me that reacts to my parents' condemnation would be helpful.
So thanks again for your post. Observing the mind's tendency to revert to familiar coping mechanisms is intriguing. I believed I had managed my inclination towards intoxicants and other forms of numbing, but the resurgence of Mormon condemnation triggered all those old habits anew. Looks like I need to invite some parts to come forward and discuss what they feel and need.

I started going to this nondenominational church nearby, and my family and I absolutely love it. It’s really interesting to see how much Eastern philosophy and the teachings from our pastors overlap-they seem to be hinting at the same truths. But, anytime I bring up insights from Eastern thought in relation to the Bible, I hit a wall of defensiveness. Sorry for going off on a tangent; I was just curious to see if we're on a similar journey.

"The soul of each of us is given a unique daimon before we are born, and it has selected an image or pattern that we live on earth. This soul-companion, the daimon, guides us here; in the process of arrival, however, we forget all that took place and believe we come empty into this world. The daimon remembers what is in your image and belongs to your pattern, and therefore your daimon is the carrier of your destiny."

When I notice daemon activity is when I am making decisions based on the highest morals and values that I can even think to have , but in the moment , don't feel like a phony. I think I normally do from guilt of rarely integrating my shadow self into my actions and words. I feel free from the criticism I usually give myself. When I realize whats happening , is when it seems as if the daemon activity will disappear. Sometimes , luckily , its sticks around long enough to achieve tremendous good , not only for myself but for my surroundings as well ( especially the people I'm close to).
It is really great to see a short video on this that's so recent and extremely relevant. I don't run into too many others who believe in daemons, so to hear the any discussion on this subject is awesome, thanks.

I was very lost in this conversation, to the point where I was about to find the full video to figure out the context of this clip. But, correct me if I'm wrong. I think that they are talking about imagining a conversation with another person, one that you already have some knowledge of regarding how they think about the world, and in this dialogical conversation, they are advising you on decision making. These imaginary people that you are having a conversation with are called daemonium. Which, as the title eludes to, seems like its a word derived the term daemon. it is also referred to as daimonion. Seems to be this phenomena a lot of people have used through out history, I've heard actors talk about it. There are rituals structured around this idea. I was just thinking about this today, funny enough, then I saw this video. There are people who I have heard talk about this subject as well, I can't remember who it was for the life of me though! David Goggins speaks on it also, that little voice in your head that knows exactly what needs to be done, you just have to learn how to listen to it. I feel like it's possible, that when you create this space in your mind, that it is being occupied by another consciousness, because your creating a space for it to inhabit. Maybe I'm way off base here, what does everyone else, who took the time to read this comment, think? I also want to echo jordan's sentiment, this is a super dangerous thing to get into, and every book you read will tell you so in the preface (the ones I read anyway). This is the kind of stuff that could literally ruin your life and the lives of many other people. There are people out there that abuse it, there are groups of people out there that abuse it, if you go down that path, there is no turning back, and it won't be what you expect. But what he is saying, is that there is a balance to be struck, but what I say is, it's a super fine balance, and if you don't think you can hit it, I wouldn't bother unless the risk is worth it to you.

Interesting!!!, really. I have a Different deontological perspective .But, coming from a introvertish background , my personal theory is ;You've developed a conscientiousness that is reflective of the vast knowledge you possess as a result of the desire to denoise the voluminous information ...these then take a somewhat sentient form (archetype) .The best bid is to better understand them .They almost give off a feeling of extreme perspicacity ,sometimes alluring. Their ethical views though, i would say is dependent on accruement....

it's intuition. You have to be very in tune with yourself to know if it's real. And you can't really share it with others in a way that they'll understand. That's partly why Jesus said "go forward and tell no one" (other reason being that you may get killed!). It's not of the mind. It can only be felt through resonance

I am going to ask you a question, and I am going to predict the answer you will have pop in your mind at first, and predict that will be a wrong answer. This works on most people and you can try if for yourself on others to see too, its an interesting conversation starter.
A bat and a ball together cost 1.10, the bat costs 1.00 more then the ball, how much did the ball cost?
You might have an answer of ten cents flash in your head right away with bias inaccurate fast mind but if you check that answer with your slow but more accurate conscious awareness, you can see that answer is wrong but it takes effort to do. The answer of ten cents is not the right answer but most people have that pop in their head because of the fast thinking mind that we rely on most of the time.
The fast unconscious mind is taking everything in and trying to make sense of it really fast. Its 11 million bits a second. But sometimes it makes mistakes. The slow conscious mind is 40-50 bits and lazy but it can check things and bringing the unconscious mistake to conscious awareness it can correct it.
The next thing to understand is about carl jung and the 4 ways the unconscious complex he called shadow deals with reality. The shadow is an unconscious complex that is defined as the repressed and suppressed aspects of the conscious self. there are constructive and destructive types of shadow. Carl jung emphasized the importance of being aware of shadow material and incorporating it into conscious awareness lest one project these attributes onto others. The human being deals with the reality of shadow in 4 ways. Denial, projection, integration and/or transmutation.
Now I believe what is happening when a question that exposes a conflict in a belief, idea, something that someone said, or even about someone they idolize and the question gets avoided, that is the fast unconscious mind going into denial and the response is often a projection. This also can trigger and emotional response activating the amygdala more and the pre frontal cortex less where rational conscious thought is said to happen and the amygdala starts to get the body to flood itself with chemicals/hormones.
Its like the fast mind knows conscious awareness will say its wrong. so it blocks it off to defend itself from admitting its wrong. in cases of denial and because it blocked off the rational mind, the responses are often irrational. Like personal attacks do not address the issue or answer the question. I think we can agree people have a very hard time now days admitting when they are wrong, I am not exempt from this myself I do realize. And we can see how badly questions avoidance effects us if you watch political meetings and watch them avoid questions all day long.
Ok, so the first thing to go over is denial as that is the main one I expose with questions. A disowning or refusal to acknowledge something I think is a good definition for it here. There is a really good 2 minute video I use as an example of this. A streamer named vegan gains claiming lobsters have brains after some one said he can eat lobsters because they do not have brains. He googles it and starts to read what it says. When he gets to the part where is says neither insects nor lobsters have brains, he skips it and says they literally are insects then skips over that line and continues to read the rest. Just like in the fast thinking video, his fast mind already read that line and refused to acknowledge it in unconscious denial, and just skipped it.
The person then tells him he skipped it and he reads it again and sees the line this time. Still being defensive of his claim and refusing to accept he was wrong, he tried to discredit the source and its the lobster institute of maine. If you would like to see the video for yourself its 2 minutes by destiny clips and the video is called " Destiny Reacts To Vegan Gains Ignoring Search Result That Contradicts Him". Justin turdo avoiding the question of how much his family was paid by the we charity 6 times in a row I think is denial as well. I think jordan peterson not being able to answer his own question of does he believe god exists and asking what do and you mean then saying no one knows what any of those words mean while being seemingly angry is think is another really good example of denial... and projection. And while JP find those words difficult, other people understand them easy. Even he does pretty much any other time they are used.
So projection is next up. Psychological projection is a defense mechanism people subconsciously employ in order to cope with difficult feelings or emotions. Psychological projection involves projecting undesirable feelings or emotions onto someone else, rather than admitting to or dealing with the unwanted feelings. Many times a mind in denial will use projections for responses. Someone getting mad and telling the other person to not interrupt when they have been doing that a lot themselves would be an example. I have done this myself. The people who tell me I dont understand my own questions and my point is wrong when they do not even know what the point is are all examples as well. I ask them to steel man my position to show then understand my point and they just avoid that question as well clearly showing they do not understand my point.
Now we have integration and/or transmutation. Integration is when you bring an unconscious behavior into conscious awareness and accept it. I know that I interrupt people talking sometimes even though I think that is wrong to do. I have a conscious awareness of it, but I have not been able to completely change the behavior.... yet. That is where transmutation comes in. Transmutation is to completely change that unconscious behavior. From being impatient to being patient, of from distrust to trust, hate into understanding and love even.
So was this understandable or confusing?
if you understand it, do you think its possibly true?
Do you have any questions? If you have any tips I am would gladly listen.

(I'm sorry this is so long. If I were smarter, I could condense it to a few paragraphs.)
It’s always dangerous when we start dabbling in a spiritual realm we lack some great awareness of as humans. If anyone were to argue that what you are doing is all rational and of the mind then they are only defending what they know is bringing some amount of unease.
The Christians are heralding a warning and the atheists are cringing. There is more going on here than just a dreamlike game with embodied emotions within your own mind.
Do you know where this entity appeared from; this creature, this ‘It’ that you are convicted now in conscience to refer to as ‘he’, (because indeed It has captured at least part of your agency). It doesn’t reside in any inner dimension of the human. It’s an entity outside our third dimension - that was unmoored by the slithering tail of a rebellious dragon as he fell from grace.
    Sounds funny, doesn’t it?
And yet it’s interesting, if not terrifying, that your demeanor has changed - I picked it up as a spiritual discernment because I do not know you but I know the interplay between the two of you and I have watched it with much enjoyment in the past - and you were nearly void for 3/4 of this conversation. I was amazed, (though I should not have been) when your friend even mentioned it, that something was different about you.
All the dimensions/worlds/realms that are known and unknown to us are not all on the same level, they are not in the same location and are not inhabited by the same beings. They each have laws. They are not always interchangeable without breaking certain spiritual laws. There were angels that left their rightful estate, stepped out of order, became unlawful and moved into the realm of earth to lay with the daughters of men. The angelic cannot lawfully intermingle with mortals.
The judgment was so great on these beings that they were chained in the outer darkness of the abyss until the last day of judgment, which is reserved for them a terrible and awesome penalty. “For God did not spare the angels who sinned, but he cast them into the dark abyss to be chained, where they are being held until the judgment.” 2 Peter 2.4
Notice they were not spared for leaving their rightful domain and engaging with mortals. Think about this, not even Satan received this judgement because the Bible tells us that he is out, roaming the earth like a roaring lion. Wicked beyond belief, yet still some laws are so profound, that when broken elicit a judgment that is exacting, absolute, immediate and fatal to a being’s agency.
We are lawfully given our rightful domains to rule over them as responsible human creations in this earth. Our habitation is human, earthly, and not angelic. Adam did not take responsibility for his domain, he mismanaged it, and the Lord removed him from it. Not only that, but there was left a cherub guarding the gate that he might not return to it. This was for his protection, and at the same time his punishment that he brought onto himself by his own decisions, and lack of responsibility to protect his domain.
You are not protecting your domain, which is and includes your body, which you are given agency over, and you have given or are in the process of giving your domain away to an angelic being that knows and understands more about God than you do. Please understand that Satan was bound to the earth before he deceived mankind out of his position of authority, namely to ‘subdue your environment, Adam.’ Then, after the devil had deceived mankind, Jesus called Satan a ‘prince’: The Prince of this World.
You are being deceived. I don’t know whether this entity is angelic or demonic, but you have to understand these two beings are different in nature and estate. Angels do not possess human beings. Demons do. Demons are disembodied spirits searching, longing for and desiring a ‘body’ to inhabit so that it might gain agency. “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ On its return, it finds the house vacant, swept clean, and put in order. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.”
Angels have a body and a rightful domain, an ordered estate that is lawful for them to inhabit. Demons do not. They need agency. But any spiritual influence has sway over us if we allow or, dare I say it, submit ourselves to them. One angel alone can slay 185K armed men. And the reason it was only 185k is because there were no more men left to slay. This is because angels are more powerful than we are. However, I am not afraid to face any spiritual being because I am covered by the blood of Christ. But I do fear deeply for you. Without the covering of the blood of Christ and the mark of the Holy Spirit, human beings are left vulnerable to all manner of infiltration. “Guard your heart with all possible vigilance, for from it flow the wellsprings of life.”
And that angelic presence doesn’t care for you at all. I know this probably hurts you and you want to defend it. I know….
Each man’s spiritual path is different from another. It astounds me that you can articulate so well the wonderment of God and yet not believe that He exists. How can this be?
Now you will commune with entities that have been cursed by a God you don’t believe exists. And though I struggled with the Holy Spirit in writing anything at all (this is a spiritual battle with darkness), some things bear a responsibility on the part of the children of Light - you will find many of them in their own voices, some young, some older heralding the same warning to you in these comments. They know something is wrong with the path you are taking. Your friend across from you here also spoke the truth when he said to you, ‘it is dangerous’.
You are in a precarious situation. I’ll mention it again, he noticed something different about your demeanor. I believe it’s the sway that this being has over you - I believe this to be true because you are pricked in conscience about It and you are protecting It.
Think about this for a moment: you are protecting a thing that is deceiving you and is far more powerful than you are. I promise you, ‘he’ is not Hermes. You are wrapped in a delusion.
How about this: if I were to insult It now you would be offended. Does it offend you that I call your ‘knowledge bestower’ an It? That I call ‘him’ a wicked deceiver doomed to death? It’s not okay that you feel an affinity towards it. I’m going to say this again: it’s not okay. Already it has pricked your conscience about itself. You are relinquishing your agency. This splits you internally, and not just once. You are distracted, this is why you seemed not to be present but lost ‘down inside yourself’.
Ask yourself why you feel the way you do about this entity who is deceiving you, is more powerful than you, understands more than you, and knows that there is an almighty God, which you do not acknowledge, (so it knows how terribly vulnerable you are). “Even the demons believe, and shudder!” James 2.19
You are speaking to a deceiving angelic presence who has faced God and fallen to its disgrace, who knows God is real, contended with Him and lost miserably and is much, much more powerful than you because you lack the blood of Christ. And here you are defending it. Feeling sheepish and as though you are doing it an injustice to call it ‘it’ and so correct yourself to say ‘him’ as though this wicked deceiver deserves respect from you; a human being who is destined and ordained by God to judge his angelic race! “Don't you know, we will judge angels?” 1 Corinthians 6.3
This is unlawful. You are honoring one who is sovereignly relegated to be judged by you, as your rightful inheritance of position. But without God you relinquish this right and so subject yourself to one lower than you.....

    • @ashleygatewood
      @ashleygatewood 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

.....You are placed in a position that if only you understood who God was and who you are in God you would gain full enlightenment and awareness that YOU my dear fellow human, have infinitely more power over this angelic creature, more attention from God, more love from God than this creature could ever hope to regain. It is fallen, done for, finished and its resentment and bitterness towards you - that it was not extended the hope of eternal salvation, because it is not human - will lead it to crave your soul, to fragment it, to torture it, to laugh at you when it leaves the room. My heart is breaking for you.
Please, don’t do this. Don’t subject yourself to a mortal enemy thinking you are communing with something that holds you in esteem or values you at all. Demons and the angelic work together and there will not be just one, but the entrance first of a strongman, then the lower demonic who are infinitely chaotic, disembodied spirits can find agency within you. This being is not noble or regal in any way. It is vying for the fragmentation and destruction of your mind, will and emotions.
It’s just like being in love, we look away from all the things we don’t want to see and only focus on the glorious things we do want to see, you are in a delusion except it’s far more dangerous because you’re not dealing with another person who has agency as you do, who is in the domain you are in and who has the same bodily inhabitance that you have. You are slipping out of your domain, which you have been given lawful power over by God, and you are handing that power to a dangerous foe with which you’re fostering an unlawful connection to.
Think about this for a minute, you have somewhere around half a century of knowledge and experience concerning human beings, their behavior, their history etc. Consider the man sitting across from you, he also has all his cognitive ability focused on the psychology of human beings. Both of you are dangerous and rightfully respected for your knowledge, no? Now think about the being that you’re dealing with…
      ‘He’ is ancient.
‘He’ hasn’t had 50 or 60 years to understand human beings. Nor has he known of God for a mere half century…
      He’s had millions….
Think about what you’re doing and what a disadvantage you have. Do you think that the things this creature is telling you are revelatory and true? This creature’s fate is death and destruction…and you’re listening to him! Yet you shun listening to the God who says His word is life and light to humans. A God who loves you, died for you, longs for your company and to be reconciled with you through Jesus Christ….and you baulk and turn to ‘Hermes’.
Ask yourself why. Why would you shun the omniscient God who is the embodiment of love and sacrifice toward you, which is what you are seeking from this creature (love and connection and honor) and instead you embrace a deceiving delusional creature, doomed to judgment and death and not only that, you’re honored by its presence.
I will say it once more: please, don’t do this. God loves you. He loves you. All of you, JV. And He will be there for you if you change course and hearken to Him.

      @ashleygatewood 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@HieronymusBosch229 This was not so easy to answer. Here’s the practical path I took. I think it’s different for everyone.
This is just how the Holy Spirit built my foundation.
As I recall, I spent appx 2-4 hours a day, 7 days a week for 4 years in study and practice(for me that was 2005-2009)
-Listening to ministers that moved me. Finding a local church. My advice would be to make sure they are teachers. My church at the time taught for an hour+ each service (Non-Denominational). There are spiritual lineages, find yours. Read historical biographies of ministers that interest you and see what moves you.
-I stopped all other incoming secular information; no secular tv, movies, music (esp music!). The human spirit has to be open and clear to hear from God.
-I prayed and read the word on my own.. I did this in conjunction with what I was hearing from seasoned ministers. It’s best to have direction and guidance in learning how to open the scripture to your understanding. This is spiritually imparted as you hear the word (Romans 10.17). And of course, ask for wisdom (James 1.5).
-Fellowship, fellowship fellowship with like minded believers.
We all start off with a deposit of the Holy Spirit when we’re saved. He will ‘lead you and teach you all things.’ John 14.26
Jesus was a virtuoso of the anointing, that is, the Holy Spirit.
Here’s a key to knowledge: “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.”
How do we have the mind of Christ?
The Spirit of God is the key to all the kingdom (Romans Chapter 8 and Romans 14:17), subduing the demonic (Luke 11:20), tearing down spiritual strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4-6; Ephesians 6:12), reconciling the people on this earth with the God of heaven (Jesus Christ/the entire NT; John 20:22). And people are blind to this fact: the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity. He is how I know all that I know, no matter who I’m listening to or how great they are in the kingdom - it is the Holy Spirit who imparts the wisdom to the hearer.
‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ (Jeremiah 33.3)
      I called.
Once I received the revelation that The Holy Spirit was a Person (not a mist, not a fire, not a phantom, not anything within the human), and that He was the key to all the depths of God, “For the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God” (1 Corinthians 2.10), I knew all I needed to know about building the house.
I pray this helps you in your walk with God. All the best~

When you consider the usefulness of Greek Philosophy, when it is based on the Greek gods, that those gods are most likely the fallen angels of Genesis.
Nowhere else in history (or mythology), that I'm aware of, has a self proclaimed god taken human wives & bred crossbreed "titans" like Heracles. A man of renowned in those days.
There is also the story of the attempt to overthrow Kronos by his sons.
So... if Hades is Lucifer, who are his two brother conspirators, & consider everything that Greek & Egyptian (beast worship) mythology has altered.
Oh yeah, Baphomet is also Pan, if you follow this line of critism & the people who worship Baphomet have b3en duped into worshipping a very minor deity. I suppose the higher deities are to proud to socialize with such lowly spirits as humans. They are always blaming humans for corrupting their bloodline.
(I think I caught them in their mischievous lies... gotcha!)

Something really turns me off.... the heroic Me scouting the outer territories of My mind encounters a mysterious bundle of mythic entities that offers me the highest possible progression for a human being under the auspices of a well-known Greek philosopher who lived thousands of years ago.... you are playing with fire, Mr Vervaeke. Satan comes as a Lightbringer who knows exactly how to deceive us!
