I imagine a heat gun would be better than a blow dryer since it doesn't blow air so forcefully. I like how kim's had the crayon drips go all the way to the umbrella instead of just having a forcefield around your little girl, haha! Good job, guys!
Would love to see what Lola thinks of this craft. I think it turned out pretty good for a first attempt!
You guys did a great job. It is SUPER messy. My 13 yr old didn't want me to know how messy and did the crayon part in the main bathroom...crayon flecks everywhere. This kept her busy for awhile. She painted the cityscape, spent a hour cutting up painter's tape to cover it perfectly...lol

Kim's was really good but Penn's was better than he usually does so I think they should have done 2 people looking at each other so when they are hung up a mirror can be between them and they'll look like they are trying to reach each other!!! 😊😍🥺🥰🤪😇😘

In Catholic school we used to have big radiators by the window and we would take the Crayons from the Lost crayon box (the box that held the stray crayons that kids lost throughout the day) and melt them on the radiators. They looked pretty😂!
Well where do I begin?? Haha! I loved things about both finished products! I think I liked Penn’s silhouette being larger... but I also liked Kim’s ... so basically a tie!!!

Two Hallowe'ens ago we picked up white pumpkins with vague ideas of doing something out of a Michael's catalogue, ran out of time to do any of those things, and melted crayons on them instead. Helpful hint? Forget the blow dryer unless weather is good enough to do it outside. We grabbed a handful of those long candle lighters instead -- I have no idea what they're called, but they have a fuel reservoir in the handle and a long lighter tube thingy? -- and went to town. The best part was how enthusiastically the project was embraced by grown men, up to and including my mechanic BIL who isn't crazy macho but will nonetheless retreat at the sight of glitter. (In this case, the small-yet-definitely-counts-as-open-flame part was definitely an appeal factor.) The kids helped by planning colour mixes, stripping paper off the crayons, and dripping bright paint on matching mini pumpkins.

I did this when I was 7 in the bathroom with a hairdryer. It got all over the wall and toilet and I am now 12 with the crayon wax still on the wall. very messy craft.

That's true. You should have took off the wrapping on the crayons before you put them on the canvas. Then you could melt it so that it was going all the way down. Good idea.

That was a great video. But what you could of done is put the paper silhouette down first then put the construction paper down over it.
