- This is my 4th video about converting FX Impact trigger into a real match grade trigger. I have been using it for a few days with complete success.
I hope you will like my work.

Factory trigger gives more safety since the first stage also moves the sear - thanks to that it can be engaged more. If you mirror polish the original sears and add some lubrication you can add a lighter spring and the first stage always resets with no issues.
I agree to some of your points. I have improved the factory trigger by polishing, lubing, putting lighter spring etc. but nothing goes close to 6 oz trigger for benchrest.
Some benchrest triggers are as light as 3 oz.
All other good triggers don't have that extra safety of 1st stage of what you are talking about. Rather the safety comes out of further adjustments if available in a trigger.
I have played and adjusted some match grade triggers, those don't provide extra safety through 1st stage travel rather their 2nd stage engagement is confident and precise.
Nice to know that you properly understand both the trigger mechanisms.

@@BhaursAirguns Do you offer that piece? Is it heat treated?
@@MasonStormSunny yes I do offer it for target shooting and compilation shooters only. It doesn't need to be heat treated just like FX sears which are also not heat treated

Great work as always
Thank you 😊
If I want to but this trigger from you, would you be willing to post to London UK?
Greg S if you are a competition or target shooter then I would recommend you getting this modified trigger.
If you see my last video in detail you will find that since I had limited space for work as rest of the parts as designed by FX are being used and the holes for pins are also not modified, where I got a good light 1st stage and light crisp 2nd stage, I also have shown that while on safety if the trigger is pulled, the sear is stuck a bit and to keep the gun safe before coming back to "fire" position, I have to push the trigger blade forward a bit to bring the sear to its desired position.
So I don't recommend this modified trigger to anyone who doesn't understand the working, cause and effect of trigger mechanism.
But for target shooting as many target guns come without safety, using this trigger is fine.
Since I know the behaviour of my trigger, I am using it for all purposes with complete success.
@@BhaursAirguns hi, thank you for you reply.
I did work on the M3 trigger a lot to suit my way of shooting (frequently comp), but I am missing this feeling that I could do more. Hence my desire of exploring your design.
Also, the bet is - the cocking handle !!!!! :)
I love it - such a great and simple.
How can I get this few bits from you?
Regards
