hey coop, if you are reading this which you might or might not, I just wanted to tell you this. I have been watching your content for years, since 2015 when I was like 6 and growing up with my best friend, we would watch your videos and then make fun of the deploy, I just started getting back in the nerf hobby and I'm glad to see the guy who sort of raised me is still here and as funny as ever. I can only speak for myself when I say that every time a new vid comes out, I drop everything to just hear a just the tiiip or full Ambi Brah joke. thanks for always making me smile, so F the deploy, flywheel master race, and oh yeah, stay tacticool.

+1 to this. I've been watching Coop for years, and yet he still has the same personality as he did, and it just seems like Coop really enjoys doing these nerf gun reviews.
Also, I don't blame him for branching out to other companies and blasters. It just seems like Nerf is hardly trying anything new at this point. Everything is just OK from them.

It's absolutely crazy to me that GameFace did such a good job with the Trion to the point where the only changes you needed to make were UNDER THE ORIGINAL. They really thought it through. Such a sick blaster.

The paintjob looks badass! I think the darkened orange works. It looks like you salvaged the shell from an undersea wreckage. The green and orange makes me think of moss and rust.
I like how you used the green for accessory parts too. It ties it together, and since they're not metal, it feels like it continues the salvaged look. Awesome stuff, dude

Naw, I use flywheelers too. But plinking with springers is a little more chill - flywheelers are noisy.

Have you run into any issues with the trigger and the catch? In my group, guys have been running into issues when they squeeze the trigger and it doesn’t release the catch.
I haven't experienced any issues with the catch. But the trigger and catch work differently than other designs I've taken apart. If he took apart his blaster, there is a chance he didn't reassemble it correctly.

It fills me with no end of joy to see Coop excited about a blaster again. The market had started to feel a bit samey, though still cool. The Trion really came in hard with the clock and customization options built in a blaster that honestly just looks *so cool*

This feels like an old hobby of mine (foam flinging) crossing with a new hobby of mine (firearms). Magpul furniture, arisaka QD, vickers sling, breif mention of optic parallax, a surefire x300 in a previous video. What and unexpected and welcome twist. Maybe I *do* need a tactical foam flinging blaster
That makes me want to get a Trion even more. Though sadly they only seem to ship to US for now and not europe, so rip.

Wow Frank, great build! That looks awesome! I actually like the bright turquoise internals, and didn't expect to see a painted sight. It's nice to see another mod from you, the metallic blue paint felt nostalgic, was it the same as one of your Stryfe builds? 💙

This build is super rad.
Thinking about getting the Electric Red version of the Trion, and painting the body gold, furniture black, and doing a crazy camo paint pattern with red, and gray to make it super gaudy. Didn't know about the buffer tube, so that's even better. Won't have to butcher a shell.
This is a decider for me.
I have always used full length nerf guns and I have never used dart zone, half length, or even rival and because of coops end of year review I was really questioning whether to abandon nerf full lengths and transition to half length blasters, but now seeing this video and how coop is now useing half length blasters as his new best I think I should do the same.
I use a small piece of guncase foam in my grip. i cut the foam out for the 2 different types of batterys that im using (optic, and light) so i have a spare in my grip that does not rattle. Im sure this would work just as well for your purposes

Also I have a theory - since springer compression barrels are a thing and dart blasters are shooting at hundreds of feet per second accurately, could a legitimate "sniper" role be introduced into the hobby?
A 'sniper' can generally engage at longer distances than other people. To do that with foam blasters, they'd have to be shooting at a higher muzzle velocity, which presents a risk at closer ranges. It gets complicated when different players have different minimum engagements ranges, but it's possible.
I think it could, in his latest video he reviews an ejection molded bolt action blaster that shoots at 230 fps which is insane, so in theory it would have to come with an insane amount of responsibility, but if you used that 230 blaster at an event where everyone else is using 150, you would have to ingage at a longer distance for safety but that’s where the sniper aspect could technically be applied,sense your shooting harder you can (and should he mandated to for safety) shoot at longer ranges then others there for “sniping them”
