I'm thrilled for you! Here's the highlight of my day...I made a plan too! For getting all my grad work done this semester! now I'm thrilled for me! yeah, I try to do the exact same thing with fluids. Some days I'm really good, and other days I wonder why I don't feel good. Because I didn't get enough water.
I am so happy you have a plan in place. I find it is easier to stay on track when there is structure. Best of luck this semester! I agree on water, Mindy! I also tell my daughter to drink a lot more water since she's a bit more like hubs family (they do not like drinking water). I also see that hunger and tiredness sometimes comes from lack of water.
Hey Yeli....I am glad to here that redness from the Oz injection was not another allergic reaction! Also, girl you are very lucky to get your hands on a free sample of Jaridance from your doctor! The only way I was able to afford Jaridance was to have my prescription card company change me from a 90 day supply to a 30 day supply and using the saving card I am able to get it for $10. Yes, with Jaridance you will need to drink plenty of water because it helps the kidneys to flush out sugar through your urine.
Thank you! I am very lucky that my doctor is so great. She added me to a study and provided me with CGMs for 3 months as a part of it. I am actually grateful and happy I was able to get in to see her since she was not accepting new patients. And yes, drinking lots of water here. I seem to be thirstier too so that helps it all go down. Thanks again for sharing your meds with me. I now have a plan and should the redness on injection site become something else, I know that with a med combo, I can titrate down and still be able to manage my sugar.
This was such a good summary! You made my ride in the car go very fast :-) it's super interesting to hear about the doses that your doctor is recommending and sounds like that is going to be great for you and for your numbers. Very interesting about the one ingredient that the two shots have in common--but glad the Ozempic is going well and you're able to stay on it! Yay for all your energy :-) have a great Wednesday!
Great News!!! Glad to hear that the redness is not the contact dermatitis and that your blood sugar level is finally coming down. My doctor swapped me from 5.0 Mounjaro to 1.0 Ozempic last week. Almost one week down and I have not had any ill effects from starting so high on Oz. (so thankful because I was concerned..) I have a friend who is T2D that is taking a daily Vyctoza shot and also taking Jardiance and she says it works very well for her. I have not had any diarrea nor constipation this week on Ozempic. On Mounjaro, I kind of switched between D one day and C the next. Ozempic has seemed to keep me "regular" which is nice. Husband started on Mounjaro 2.5 today so I am curious to see how he does on it. He was already a very healthy eater (much better than me!). I told him in jest that he'd probably start craving sweets! (my nemesis which is now gone thanks to MJ and Oz!) I cant do three "regular" meals either. I can drink the protein drinks but they seem so sweet to me now. I have started putting some Isopure powdered protein in my morning coffee. It doesnt add any taste and actually makes the coffee more full bodied if that makes sense. I try to walk some everyday. With the weather getting cooler (so hot here in Ga in the summer!) we are walking twice per day. We try to do at least 3miles but I like your idea of doing some walking every 30 minutes. I work nights @ a police department so I am going to get up every 30 minutes and walk the halls for a few minutes. I also have a 5 pound weight that I keep at my desk and do arm exercises as often as I can. I heard someone mention that whenever you drank something other than water (coffee, soda, tea) to take one sip of that beverage and then take a sip of water. I tried it and it does help you get in more water. I have found that I don't care for cold, cold water, I much prefer it lukewarm so that works for me when doing the switch with coffee (not such a huge temp difference!). My NSV was having my ob/gyn brag on my weight loss at my visit this past week. He has been so supportive of my journey although he is not the one who prescribed it. I enjoy your vlogs and hope you have a wonderful upcoming week! Rhonda in Ga
Rhonda, thank you so much for sharing this. I am so glad Ozempic is working well for you. I hope it goes very well for your husband. Yes, some type of resistance training helps a lot (per my diabetes educator) and she also says the walk 3 min every 30min is a great thing to do not only for diabetes but also for circulation. I actually have a better relationship with food on Ozempic Vs Mounjaro, I hope that is the case for you as well. Getting closer to injection day, I do feel hungry when it's time to eat but I do not get the food chatter level I used to get on Mounjaro and that I had not gotten even before Mounjaro in ages. Thanks again for sharing! Best of luck on your journey and we are doing this together!

Yay, Yeli! I hoped it would be good news when I saw that smile in the thumbnail! Yay! Still sending you good thoughts and positive energy. Big hug!
Thank you! Your good thoughts and positive energy are very much appreciated.

I drink at least 96 ounces a day
Thank you for sharing that. That is what I have been drinking more or less daily.
