Washington ran mesh more than any other route this past year and led the NCAA in passing. We will look in depth in this video with how they ran it out of bunch and other condensed sets.
Love it! I’m starting to fall in love with condensed formations. Eagles and Vikings have made me think differently about it this year. Also, we have all been eatin up by the turf monster haha
Looking at those arrow routes. The first one, against Portland State, has the look of a vertical WR stack route. It looks like the RB is using the WR as a bit of a rub to get open. The arrow route gets the RB the ball at the LOS or just past it a lot quicker than a wheel route. Better keep an eye out for those gravity storms on the Ultimate Frisbee field Coach, they'll knock you down every time...🤣
Generally, arrow routes take less time to get to the line of scrimmage and out to the numbers part of the flat. Wheel routes get the RB to the flat quickly, but they are further behind the numbers, so there is more ground to make up.
Love it!

I have gotten more into them as well. The only issue I've got is the defense being able to disguise blitzes a little bit more. Thanks for watching!
UW offense is a fun watch.
They do some really good stuff. Going to have more videos to come on some cool stuff from them.

Good point about the arrow and the frisbee field might be the place where every gravity storm has originated! Thanks for watching!

Makes sense. I definitely think both have their places to be run. Thanks for watching!
can you do a video on their run concepts last year. I thought it was really good
We may be able to get around to it by the time the season rolls around. They did do some really good stuff this year! Thanks for watching!
