    Thank you Pamela. I have been “playing” the didge for a while and continue looking for a tutor/teacher and you are doing so well. You demonstrate, you break it into manageable pieces and it works for me. I have subscribed. Thanks, Tony

    it just sounds so weird to me and not something ill ever get used to. haha

    thank you for the video!! can I request a circular breathing video? I can bounce breath but still struggling with correct circular breathing

    • @didgegirl6
      @didgegirl6  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Micah! I'll see what I can do for a circular breathing video since this seems to be a popular subject.

    • @tonybell4710
      @tonybell4710 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bounce breathing is just a tool to use, not a good style. What the plan is to get you to fill ur lungs in a micro second and release your diaphragm before the air in your cheeks running out. When you bounce breath you should be thinking of sniffing ina lung full and concentrate on whats going out. Bounce breathing is 12121212 and you will never get a good drone. When lungs half empty, puff cheeks, hold diaphragm, sniff in air while pushing air into dige,release diaphragm before cheeks empty. A termite eaten didgeridoo will cause better backflow and preserve air used.

    excellant! Question, Do you think that a person having UPP surgery would have difficulty in circular breathing? Been eluding me for a long time.

    • @didgegirl6
      @didgegirl6  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Paul. Since I've never heard of this procedure before, I looked up what UPPP surgery involved and it may affect learning some of the mechanics of circular breathing. I guess it would really depend on how extensive the surgery is. One way to find out is to see if you can sniff through your nose with no problem. This will let you know whether or not the back of your throat can close enough to let you do a sniff. If you can, then you should be able to circular breathe. Hope this answers your question.

      Pamela Mortensen okay your on the hook. Looking at all kinds of information. Lol. So the longer the lower, deeper sound? I am a woodworker and looking to actually make one on the wood lathe. Lathe is not super long so making split pieces. So splitting a 4x4 walnut, routing out 1 3/8 hole, glueing and turning. Does the bell thickness make a difference? And thoughts on alternate wood?

    I love your video but I really struggle, somehow my voice stays ringing in my mouth rather than going into the didgeridoo, I dont understand how to change that...

    • @didgegirl6
      @didgegirl6  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi pioneer 11. This is a common issue for some. Try pointing your vocals to the end of your nose while supporting with your diaphragm - in other words see how nasal you can get your voice using "HA!" or "HEY!" I know this sounds like a weird thing to do but it's a vocal exercise that singers use to get more projection. This can especially help with higher vocals which seem to be more challenging for people.

    Any advise on how to get the dark bark much sharper?

    • @didgegirl6
      @didgegirl6  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A good strong bark will come from the diaphragm much the same way laughter does. Having a didge with a larger bore on the top end helps too. the larger bore helps vocals come through much better than a tighter bore didge. Hope this helps.

    • @Nilz4FR
      @Nilz4FR 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pamela Mortensen Any Sound I should try with my voice to get this fast quick double bark at 0:32 which kind of sounds like the old DJ style to scratch? Simply love it. Thanks again.

    • @didgegirl6
      @didgegirl6  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nilz4FR what I do in this part is "ga GA!." The important part is when you do high vocals is to support them with a diaphragmatic punch. You don't have to do this consciously. Let it happen naturally and you'll find it much easier.

      Now that you're done imposing your views on us, let's impose ours on you. Take your curses and shove em. Your culture of female repression from certain activities is twisted and needs reformation. Women are fully capable and entitled to do anything a man can, and any man who says not is being disrespectful to every female on the planet, and should be subjected to the curse of all the pains women deal with on a monthly basis in addition to the honor of childbirth and all the fluctuations that come with female horomones. May all the curses you spew be reflected back unto you threefold as the laws of magick and sowing and reaping abide by. So mote it be and amen.
