In twisted metal 2 minions story is actually hes in the tournament to get back his powers calypso stole from him, hence how calypso can magic up the winners wishes. His ending is also just him dropping calypso into hell which is always a nice touch
Twisted Metal 1 was never available for rent when I was a kid so I had to ask a friend at school who owned the game about it. He told me crazy stories of killer clowns and how you can actually run over and kill people and there's a demon driving a semi-truck. I did not believe him at all. Fast forward like 2 years later and I play the second game. IT WAS ALL TRUE.
Something nice to say- I loved this game a s a kid back in 95 when I was in kindergarten and I enjoyed watching you play as my older brothers favorite cabbie- thank you!
I was in 5th grade or something when this game came out, though it wasn't my first experience with the Twisted Metal series; that was Twisted Metal 2, played at my best friend's house. People have to understand when these games came out, it was genuinely MIND BLOWING. It has aged very poorly and is pretty jank by today's standards, but hey, I'll take another Twisted Metal over everything else Sony has been crapping out these past 5 odd years.
always thought it was funny in 3 calypso found the most contrived ways to turn the winners wish against them. guy wants a a bbq guess what hes the main course! hahaha im so evil!
Sorry for the lackluster hint last video. Level 2 is the hardest to explain full health location it took me awhile to get it down. Its on one of the front doors of that area. Its the most annoying full heal in the game
A good run! One of the few characters I've not played from the first game (I'm a creature of habit lol). I always play as Roadkill, Spectre, Hammerhead, or Pit Viper.
@Nobunaga1983 really man idc about the music in 3 honestly preferring the music in 2 the driving in both is kind of bad in different ways the flipping thing can be annoying in 3 but I've found it too be less common in smaller vehicles I enjoy the level design in 3 more who really signed off on the russia level being the second battle in 2? Holland is shite to 3 has DC which is also bad but I'll take 1 bad level over 2 of them
You did well for being YJ since he’s towards the bottom in this game. Also YJ and Darkside both are not good, plus because of where they are on the character select you have to fight Sweet Tooth for most of the levels.
Thanks Cody! I was thinking I was just bad struggling so much with YJ, but yeah he’s pretty rough. Darkside should be better because he can ram, right?
@ He’s slow, his special is the worst in the whole series and his ramming gets you killed. He’s only good on the first 2 levels maybe. Black Darkside is better.
@dessadoo true but Outlaw's taser also does less damage than a fire missile upon hit I get where you're coming from with ease of use but I'd rather put Yellow jacket's special too better use with practice and well placed shots but again I definitely get where you're coming from both have horrendous range
I am NOT Calypso, and I thank you for playing Twisted Metal!
thanks for covering these games i fucking loved these games they got me through hell on earth you got a sub for life
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoy the videos!
35:45, I never thought of why he was called Minion but maybe that IS what his wish was, to always be fighting in TM, becoming Calypso's minion.

Twisted Metal 2 and its comic book definitely did a lot of heavy lifting for Minion’s character because the first game cut his original story

Back to back drew videos!!!!
These are a blast to make!

Thanks for sharing! It’s cool the memories that people have with these games

Your commentary style is awesome and really shows how much work you put into your videos
Thank you! I really appreciate that. Commentary videos are always the most nerve-racking videos for me to make, but I’m happy you enjoy them!

Not gunna lie this is probably my 2nd favorite character to use in the 1st game. Mainly because his stats are balanced out.
Yeah, he is easily the most balanced character in the game
HEY HEY HEY ITS TIME FOR CRAAAAZY MONEY
Darkside and Hammerhead are mini bosses lol
Sweet Tooth is slowly taking over as the worst guy to go against
Sounds good to me baby! 🚕 🚖
His ending is the best thing about him
Sorry for the lackluster hint last video. Level 2 is the hardest to explain full health location it took me awhile to get it down. Its on one of the front doors of that area. Its the most annoying full heal in the game
I didn’t mean to put you on blast like that! But I gave you a shoutout on the Riverpark Rumble health spot. Thanks for the info!
No worries I didn't take it as a blast lol I just know that area sucks ass@@dessadoo
A good run! One of the few characters I've not played from the first game (I'm a creature of habit lol). I always play as Roadkill, Spectre, Hammerhead, or Pit Viper.
Thank you! And Roadkill is one I think I’ll like, he’s pretty strong in this game.
You know you can hit your turbo when your frozen to instantly get out of it so your just not sitting there taking damage for no reason
43:03 Oh that's strange it tastes like-AAAAAAGH!
yummy
On rooftops, try the oil slicks right before the end of the 2 big jumps, possibly? I might pop this in later and try my strat out!
OMG YELLOWJACKET!
It tastes like 💥
Well shit, that was fast.
Glad you enjoy the videos!
38:39, the lyrics said "Destroy it!" and Minion launched a missile at you LOL, what's that song BTW?
“Object Identified” from the TM2012 OST
Not trying to have a hot take but twisted metal is my 2nd favorite in the series next to tm2. Maybe mostly nostalgic reasons and the dark tone
That’s fair! There’s nothing wrong with liking TM1 but it’s easily the hardest one to get started on, in my opinion.
@Nobunaga1983 here's a hot take tm 3 is better than tm 2
@@retrogamer983 tm3 and tm4 may be better than tm1 but tm2 floors them all. I could care less about rob zombie doing the music for 3 and 4 lol
@ here’s a lesson and some pointers on why tm2 is the best. th-cam.com/video/xtzzE-ceuWk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=F1H6lBvprISW7xQk

I agree but he is even worse in twisted metal black

Thanks Cody! I was thinking I was just bad struggling so much with YJ, but yeah he’s pretty rough.
Darkside should be better because he can ram, right?
@ Actually Darkside is my worst and I feel useless when I use him, but good luck!
@BigSlick98 why because he’s slow?
@ He’s slow, his special is the worst in the whole series and his ramming gets you killed. He’s only good on the first 2 levels maybe. Black Darkside is better.
Finally some good fucking content (gordon ramsey meme)
Thank you for the support! I’m happy you enjoy the content!
Yeah yellow jacket and outlaw are mid in every aspect I find yellow jacket abit more fun too play though as his special is slightly better imo
Outlaw at least has a special that doesn’t need to be aimed. YJ has to land perfect and still does almost no damage. 😅
@dessadoo true but Outlaw's taser also does less damage than a fire missile upon hit I get where you're coming from with ease of use but I'd rather put Yellow jacket's special too better use with practice and well placed shots but again I definitely get where you're coming from both have horrendous range
The sound effect alone makes yellow jacket worth playing
:D
